Nice History of Clermont
Aug 2020 • Couples
It was nice to see the history of Clermont displayed in the Historic Village. I'm glad that the City chose to keep some of the things that made Clermont what it was before all of us moved here for the hills and the lakes. Found out that our subdivision in Margaree Gardens was once a Tomato Farm. I recommend every person moving to Clermont visit this location to get a feel for what it once was to live here.

Really nice little place
Mar 2020 • Friends
Check before you arrive here as it’s only open for limited hours and I guess it’s manned by volunteers. There is free parking and they simply ask for a donation. We were warmly greeted by an older gentleman who happily explained about the area and buildings. The position of the museum on the lake side is lovely. There are 2 old houses, a school room, library and war hut. Each building is interesting in its own right and they have great photographs of them moving the houses to this spot which to an English person is fascinating as at home houses are dismantled brick by brick not put on a lorry and moved. Loved the displays in the houses and the interesting stuff in the library. Loved looking at the old magazines in the library. My friend finds the war very interesting and the museum in the war hut was very interesting.

We were there about 90 minutes and whilst it’s a tiny place it’s worth a visit.

A Nice Way to Preserve a Little History
Feb 2020
These buildings are well preserved and a nice tribute to the past. No there is not much in the Village, but what is there is very nice and the volunteers give some good information. I wouldn’t drive out of my way to see this Village, but if you are in the area stop by and take a peak.

Garcia's Perfect casual lunch
Feb 2020 • Friends
When interested in Mexican food I just want it taste like expect it should. Not exactly a small request
Garcia's nailed it. My chicken quesadilla was hot and big enough to satisfy without the common extra 1000 calories. Atmosphere was clean and quiet. Service was quick but not rushed

Excellent well worth the visit away from the tourist traps that want to empty your wallet. A credit to the volunteers who look after part of their heritage.

Clermont historical village
Nov 2019 • Couples
Today my husband and I visited this well preserved little historical village.
The staff were exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly.
There were some brilliant artefacts to see and a historical musical interlude was offered in each property.
Very enjoyable, but the volunteers really made our visit memorable.
Beautiful area overlooking lake minneola, look out for the resident cockerel 🐓

..... only if you’re passing. There did not seem to be a lot there. Places were closed. Mount Dora is much nicer.

Small historic village with a broad history of Florida. Free of charge, donations accepted. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Quiet Old Florida Town

Spent the afternoon in and out of many shoppes in the Village. Lots of reasonably priced items to be found. Really enjoyed the historic atmosphere.
