We booked on to a hour guided hike by the new concession at Lake Louisa. It is situated by Dixie Lake in the park. Ardern, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much during the trail hike. Can't recommend this new enterprise enough. Next time we are going for a guidd kayak tour of Lake Louisa can't wait!

Hang out on the beach, take a walk through the woods & get away from the craziness for a few hours. My Wife and I love going here to take walks.

What a pleasant change of pace from the general hustle and bustle that is Orlando. As much as we love the theme parks and endless restaurants and entertainment sometimes you just have to relax a little and enjoy nature. So we were very happy to discover Lake Louisa State Park. It offers miles of walking trails and roads that take... More

Very nice state park. We decided to do a little hiking while we were in Florida. Checked out the lake, ponds etc. The area we hiked around was swampy but easy enough. We saw gopher tortoise, deer and some bear tracks. We did get some rain, but we had prepared for that just in case. Would have like to explore a... More

One of the most memorable getaways in my life! Another element that was incredible with the state park is that our entry was free!! The free pass to all state Parks issued by the governor was incredible. Being a disabled veteran has its benefits in the great state of Florida. Lake Luisa State Park is a great getaway for families... More

We have camped here (RV) a few times. The first time, a tornado took the power out. This time was right after the hurricane went thru north of here. It was still great. I love the rolling hills and all the trails. We tried the P3 Guided Kayak Tour on Saturday. Arden did a fantastic job of coaching the other... More

We've been wanting to come to Lake Louisa for a while, and today we ventured in, having paid the modest entry fee of $5 The drive into the park is interesting and you might get the chance to see tortoises along the way. Be careful they're isn't one crossing the road. If you walk along the trails, make sure you... More

Great park! Had been there years ago but not recently. Enjoyed our weekend of camping and particularly the new amenities they have recently added. We did a guided hike and also a kayaking trip on the lake. These excursions are run through a separate company and their service was awesome and it was a good value since they give discounts...
