    Something different on your vacation
A really great time spent here, there is a tour which starts with a video giving a little history about the place and then a guide took us round, approx 7 of us in group. We then did a tasting which I must admit I would have liked longer but it was long enough for us to enjoy and then buy a few bottles along with other goodies in shop. We may need to return at the weekend as they have live singing and food to enjoy along with wine

    Great place
My husband and I stopped here on our way home from vacation, and we’re so glad we did. Our guide, Stuart, was very informative and funny. We bought several different wines to enjoy at home. We will definitely visit again.

    Nice place to visit.
Fun place to visit. They give free tours and tastings everyday. There are events on some weekends which always draw a large crowd so take your lawn chairs and go early to get a parking spot. Their gift shop is nice to buy gifts or items you might want for your own use. The winery is especially nice during the holidays or during the harvest season. Always visit their website to see what's going on.

Wine prices very reasonable (pre inflation price).
Everyone is friendly. Great wine selection. Did the tasting bar (sweet) and added cheese and crackers. A great way to sample what they have to determine what you’re going to purchase. Watched the 15 minute history movie in the theatre. Lots of photo ops when you’re outside with the rolling hills. On the weekends there’s concerts. Bring some lawn chairs, blanket and hang out. Food and wine section outside right of stage. Totally bringing friends from out of state here. Or even making this a pit stop when I travel to Orlando. Wine prices are beyond reasonable (dare I say pre inflation prices).

    Free tasting everyone can enjoy
Stuart promised us a fact filled education in wine making and he didn't disappoint. We've been to wineries in about 25 states and Canada and learned so much in the short tour. As promised, the free wine samples were the highlight. My husband exclusively drinks reds, I prefer whites yet we both enjoyed every sample and had a difficult time choosing which to buy. The mulled wine was a treat and we are making that when we go home to winter. The sparkling wine will be perfect for our anniversary. Truly worth the drive from Orlando to visit this gem.

Arriving, we realized that Lakeridge was having a wine festival. The traffic control pointed us to park on a grassy slope. A golf cart picked us up and delivered us to the door. That was a nice beginning.
Inside, the place was humming with customers. The staff had set themselves around a pathway throughout the facility to offer a wine tasting.
The tasting was free after providing proof of age. Given a plastic cup (half the size of a shot glass), we started the tour. Each taste was barely enough to actually "taste ". I don't believe the total of ten pours would even amount to an eighth of a regular glass.
Of course, the tasting ended in the gift shop.
Getting back outside, we started to head to the festival. It was $10 a head just to get in to the vendors. It seems to me that it wasn't enough to get a poorly run tasting and expensive gift shop but, to charge for the ability to spend money at the vendors, was beyond reasonable.
The four of us decided to head somewhere else than to pay, pay, pay!
In my estimation, it was not a good experience.

We come here every few months, and saw an ad in the paper for music at the wine and cheese bar, and thought that sounded good. We were met outside by security who sorted through my purse and then had us spread our arms out while they ran some sort of taser over us. Despite all this we decided to go inside, where we found we couldn't get a bottle as usual to enjoy at the wine bar, only glasses which cost twice as much. Not a relaxing afternoon like we pictured.

Yesterday my boyfriend and I visited the Lakeridge Winery for a date. We came looking to tour and taste test different wines. We arrived at 2 pm and walked inside where we were greeted by an older gentleman who asked if we would like to "Get to work." Having hearing problems, I thought he said, "Would you like to go tour?" I replied, "Yes!" To which my boyfriend corrected me and told me he had asked us if we would like to get to work. The employee jokingly asked If I had been drinking, and I said no I had not. The older gentleman replied by saying, " Well I'll tell you what, If I don't hear anything negative about you two upstairs, I might let you try my wine slushie." I was thrown off by hearing him ask if we would like to get to work and to also say, "If I don't hear anything negative about you.."

So that was weird.

Then we walk upstairs to watch the informative video about Lakeridge. After the video, we go to the viewing deck to view where they package the wines. From there, we walked into the wine tasting room.

The employee pouring the cups of wine for visitors did not acknowledge my boyfriend and I, but handed a cup to every individual at the table. Thinking we had just been missed accidentally, my boyfriend reached to grab us two sample cups. Once he got two cups, the employee very rudely said, "I pass out the cups here."

We apologized and said we didn't know, backed up, and waited. The employee AGAIN poured cups of wine for the entire other group and ignored us. After that, I felt extremely uncomfortable and told my boyfriend I feel unwelcome here and we should leave.

My boyfriend and I had been talking about this date for weeks. I do not know if they treated us poorly because we are in our 20's or if it's because my boyfriend is black. Either way, we felt totally unwelcome here and will not be going back or recommending to anyone we know.

S a small nice. It’s been 20 years since I fist visited and while I don’t remember much from that first time, I was pleasantly surprised with this visit. We were immediately greeted upon arrival and advised that tour would begin in 10 mins., etc. we browsed the well stocked store. Tour begins with a quick video followed by a quick tour of the process. It’s a small winery and vineyard so one can’t really compare it to the likes of the California wines or other major regions. However, the personal attention and the fact that there’s no charge fo tasting more than makes up sor its size and longevity.

The tasting was great with sampling of about 7 different varieties, 5 of which were of muscadine grapes, what they grow. I was genuinely impressed with the selection of their own grape wines and ended up buying several of each ro take home. The only thing that I would recommend is for the host to slow down between servings. No sooner was she done with one that she was pouring the next, thus not allowing for a comfortable tasting of more than a zip before having to pur out the old wine to taste the next.

Enjoyed our visit and would come back again. Certainly recommend it. The wines are more on the sweet side because of the grapes they grow.

This was a very pleasant excursion. They offer a free wine-making tour, as well as a free tasting. We were able to taste 8 of their wines. We all liked many of their wines, and they were reasonably priced. We wanted to order a case (the man behind the counter looked up our state and assured us we could have wine shipped) but wanted to wait because we would be traveling for many days still

Trying to order from their website was a nightmare, however. I created an account, promptly forgot the password and tried to have it reset. It took HOURS for them to send a password-reset email, and when I tried to use it, it had expired. Then, when I finally got in, I selected my wines, entered my shipping address and was told they couldn't ship to my state, even though it is allowed. So I had to call and I spoke to someone who had trouble understanding English, which made ordering and giving my address quite a challenge. Finally we got everything entered and they shipped it right away.

We took the VIP package. The Host, Thomas Murphy, and the rest of the staff, MADE the experience unforgettable. They were not expecting us on this day, however, they had no tours scheduled so they were able to accommodate us. Thomas did a great job giving us our VIP tour, taking our picture, and helping us enjoy our tasting. The whole experience was amazing. We left happy and uplifted! So much so, we returned a couple of days later to purchase some more of their delicious wines! Thomas and Lakeridge Winery have made some more Texas & Louisiana friends for life. Too bad our states won't allow shipping of their wines - oh well, we'll just have my son who lives in Tampa make "a run" before he heads our way! :-)

I loved exploring here with my husband wine tasting is free unless you want to get to get the reserve. Outside on Saturday they have music and food both which were amazing. The frozen wine slushee was amazing and kept me cool. Would recommend bringing chairs to sit enjoy the weather and good music and wine.

As a birthday present for me and my wife, our son surprised us with a VIP Tour and Tasting at the Lakeridge Winery. We have been to the winery a few times but this was the first time we got to understand the entire operation. Our guide, Jose', was excellent first showing us a short film and then taking us on a walking tour of the winery. You get a sense of true family with the employees truly enjoying interacting with customers and each other.

The wine tasting allowed us to sample all of their wines accompanied with a meat and cheese tray for each of us. At the end of the tasting we were given a full glass of our favorite wine, a wine glass, cork screw, wine stopper, and a bottle of the wine of our choice. We completed the experience at an outside table finishing our glass of wine and one of the two cheese trays.

A really fun experience!
