Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards opened its doors in February 1989 in Clermont, Florida and sits on a 127-acre estate in gently rolling countryside some 25 miles west of downtown Orlando. This area was once the center of the State's grape industry. After years of phenomenal growth, Lakeridge ranks as Florida's largest premium winery, and remains a pioneer in the development of table and sparkling wines from muscadine and hybrid grapes. With an overall production of over 80,000 cases, that's over 960,000 bottles. Lakeridge Wines are sold under the Lakeridge and Lakeridge Reserve brands wines at the winery and at major supermarkets and wine shops throughout Florida . Together, these labels have won more than 700 awards for excellence in winemaking. I enjoy going to wineries and have gone to many in Virginia & the Hudson Valley. I was very disappointed that I couldn't just taste and that you are forced to go on the tour. The tour was very typical & the wine is just OK. The grounds are beautiful. I wouldn't go back.

This was an excellent, and different, day out. Drive north on the I27, approx. 30 minutes north of its junction with the 192. The visit included a tour of the Winery, a tasting of their produce and the expected chance to buy - all complimentary. On the day we visited they were running a 'music festival', with a back yard... My wife and I very much enjoyed visiting the Lakeridge Winery. The property and facility were beautiful. The guided tour was pleasently informative. At the end of the tour, they offer a free wine tasting which included detailed explanations of the hows and whys of tasting wine, and each wine was described in detail. The atmosphere was light-hearted and fun.... More

Visited Lakeridge Winery with 3 other people, all of whom really enjoyed the trip. There was a little bit of confusion regarding the time of the next tour, so we had a little bit of a wait, but all was good once we got on our way. Tour starts with a video & then continues through to the production area.... More

We live about an hour north of the winery and enjoy taking guests there for the tour & tastings. My brother-in-law has been to many wineries in the US and Europe. He said that the tour at Lakeridge was the most informative he had ever been on. After the extensive tour, there is a tasting available in the gift shop... More

You can get a good idea what American wines are about in the tasting. Informative talk with a good tour. The wines were relatively good according to my uncultured palate.

Enjoyable tour-geared towards Adults so you can sample the wonderful Florida wines. Some discount when I girlfriend and I bought a case. Enjoyed the History and Lake County is a lovely venue.
