Great Citrus
Jan 2020
Great spot. Been here a couple of times... once a few years ago, and once again this past January. This last time, we sat down and started talking to the owners about citrus, tried some delicious fruit, and had ourselves a nice time. I'm planning on sending them some freshly picked apples from up north to show them what our stuff is like in peak season, right off the tree. Lovely folks who are really passionate about fruit and their wares are just grand.

Ice cream
Feb 2019 • Friends
Loved the key lime and orange ice creams. Different! Also loved the fresh tangerine juice
I'd take an IV of that stuff. Very friendly staff.

OK place
Feb 2018
We stopped in here to try orange ice cream we had heard about. After we ate, we looked around. We were the only 2 people in the place. The person who worked here followed us all around, like he was making sure we didn't steal anything. It made me uncomfortable.

I went back several times!

This is a great little store to pick up fresh juices and sectioned oranges/grapefruit, and delicious baked goods. The orange soft serve is very good too. And great customer service! I wouldn't call it an attraction though - it's great for local citrus products!

Disappointed
Mar 2018 • Couples
We have missed the Citrus County location on Seminole and gave this one a try. What a disappointment. There was hardly any citrus fruit in the store, no samples to try, and no warehouse with any farm market items. Some overpriced honey, overpriced candy and trinkets inside a sparsely displayed store. At least the employee was friendly and the soft serve was delicious, but definitely not worth the 30 minute drive to get there. Won’t be back.

Citrus Stop
Mar 2017
This was an OK stop - we have visited larger scale citrus centers and have enjoyed watching citrus being packed, etc. and tried samples. This location did not provide those. They had some nice citrus "gifts". We bought a bottle of orange wine and some ice cream. Was just hoping for more.

Oranges picked fresh in Florida, not thousands of miles away
Apr 2017 • Couples
This is a great store on the corner of 'Gulf to Bay' and 'Belcher' in Clearwater. They have the freshest oranges and tangerines and loads of other stuff including the best homemade ice-cream ever made with the oranges they grow, and of course fresh cream. Hmmm mmmm good. Most stores like this are quite shabby and run down but not this one at all. It is clean, air conditioned and they are open year round. There is also a lot more than just citrus and ice cream.

Owners Dempsey and Tina and the friendliest people ever and they also have friendly helpful staff. Dempsey is a 4th generation orange grower and all the oranges and tangerines they have in the store are personally picked on the previous day. Why buy from the store fruit picked before it is ripe from thousands of miles away when we have it right here on our doorstep? Just sayin'

At least the ice cream was OK
Jul 2017 • Family
Maybe I visited at the wrong time of year. They had no citrus. The shop is sort of sad and off the main drag. The outside did not bode well. Inside they had two different kinds of ice cream, tourist trap souvenirs, and an almost empty citrus room. They did have some slick prepared baskets, but little fruit by the piece. What they did have was green. I did buy some orange juice and a large orange soft serve. The ice creamers okay.

Sparse and expensive
May 2017
Free parking

Easy to find via GPS

Wheel chair and hold stroller accessible

They have great banana and zucchini bread for sale. Some homemade orange condiments, juice and ice cream. All items are very expensive.

The staff are very welcoming and talkative. The atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Very good orange and key lime soft ice cream
Mar 2017 • Couples
We usually stop in here every time we are in the Clearwater area. Always enjoy the orange and key lime soft ice cream. Friendly attendants. Lots of Florida tourist junk, and jellies, jams, candies, etc. There used to be a large facility out on US 19 years ago, I think it was called Bilgore Groves, and they served this orange soft serve. Its nice that there is still a place to get the fresh citrus and orange soft serve. Some nice Florida themed hats here too for about $10.
