This trip was awesome! We got on board Captain Andrew's boat at the marina and he took us out to go kayaking in better conditions. The water was too shallow at the time to paddle near the island, but we went further down and got to experience a very cool area where we got to paddle in some intercoastal waters and experience the oceanside as well!! Paddle Out was very professional as well because we experienced rain on our initial booking day and Captain Andrew was super communicative and worked with us to re-schedule our adventure for the next day when the weather was better! Highly recommend booking here if you're looking for an EASY and FUN kayaking or paddle boarding experience!

Absolutely exceptional experience. The boat is simple to get to with convenient parking, which is handy in a beach town. Captain Andrew was knowledgeable, patient, kind, personable, and a downright good excursion guide. The paddleboards are high quality rigid plastic and not a crappy inflatable paddleboard. The drive out and back goes right past a dolphin feeding area and we saw a bunch of dolphins, first time ever. The laguna for boarding and the island for swimming or shelling or just resting were as quiet and tranquil as we had hoped. My wife and I have done a lot of holiday excursions and we agreed we would definitely do this one again.

The whole trip from start to finish was fun! Captain Andrew is an over- the- top nice guy. He knows a lot about the area and tells great stories! He took a bunch of pictures of us (and everyone else in our group of six) and sent them to us within an hour or two. I would highly recommend Paddle Out Adventures if you're looking to have a kayak or paddlebording experience!

I am a Wish Coordinator for Make-A-Wish, and I booked a 3-hour tour with Paddle Out Adventures for a Wish family during their vacation to Clearwater. Owner Captain Justin McGee has been nothing but incredible throughout the entire Wish planning process, both before and after the tour. He selflessly accommodated our Wish family, and we'll definitely book tours with him in the future! I could not recommend him enough!

Best kayak / paddle board experience in Clearwater. We enjoyed our 3 hour trip with Captain Andrew. He took us to a less windy part of the water so we could easily paddle without having to battle the wind. He altered the trip based on what we wanted to do. I highly recommend booking his trip, you won't regret it.

We stayed in Clearwater for the first time and did a little research on things to do as a family and came across Paddle Out Adventurers and considering the raving reviews we booked two half day excursions. Day one was AMAZING! Paddle boarding down to a magical cove that opened up to a beautiful beach was like something out of a movie, so no spoilers!! You have to experience it. We stopped at little islands and snorkeled too. Day two was a fishing day. It wasn’t about how many fish we could catch and release but the experience as a family being fully present without distractions of cell phones! The experiences wouldn’t have been nearly as memorable if it wasn’t for Captain Andrew. He genuinely cares about the people he is taking out and has a teacher’s mentality of showing you things and educating you along the way! He captured our moments by taking the photos so we could focus on the fun! Dolphins didn’t disappointment us either! This is a must do when in Clearwater!

I really liked the captain, he was trying to make our time as enjoyable as possible. He was answering all our questions and adding more fun details.
The paddling itself wasn't difficult for us.
I enjoyed swimming in the ocean on the "secret" beach the most. We were not totally alone, but almost.
Also, we got lucky that we were alone on the tour as it was Monday (it was second half of June, not the most popular time). But the captain said that he takes up to 6 people, which is not many.
Take some snacks or sandwiches with you, you can have them on the boat or on a little island. There's a small picnic spot over there.

This was our 3rd trip out and each time it keeps getting better Captain Andy is AMAZING- feels like you're hanging with an old friend. He made our 4 year old's first trip so special. We saw SO many dolphins and even got up close to them on the boards. We went to a private island where we could kayak, paddle board, or as my son preferred- dug holes and played football on the beach! This trip is much more than just paddle boarding- the best was was cruising around the area and learning about the different areas.

The Captain of the boat was really friendly and really made his best for us! Nice Sup-paddling close to the mangroves, beach visit and at the end really close dolphine Spoting allthough respectful to the animals. If you really want to get deep into the mangroves you might not chose this trip. For us it was perfect with the boat close if we needed it!

I see this trip comes in 2,3 or 4 hour choices. What do you think is a good one to take?
Written May 15, 2019
We did the 4 hour and that is what I would recommend. Here is why...4 hour allows you to do more, see more, has a very relaxed pace. Also the chance to see dolphins and other sea life is better. Also talk to owner he is very up front and accommodating! We brought snacks and BYOB and our captain was great!
