I bought time in the 737 simulator for my 15 year old son as a gift. It was nothing short of an amazing experience. The owner was very dedicated to making the experience as fun as possible. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

Last week I came in to do the F-35 simulator and after talking to the owner Peter he saw I have had an avid interest in aviation and recommended I do the Boeing 737-800NG simulator. Wow what an awesome experience. We did the route from MIA to TPA and it was just like flying the real plane in real time. He taught me so much in just one visit and has unbelievable knowledge and skills. He took the time to explain all the systems and we went through all the start up and pre-flight checks, set up radios and Nav and it was all real time with the weather and other flights. It was raining in Miami at the time and raining when we took off. We cleared the flights and did a flyover of PIA and Pinellas prior to landing at TPA. You really appreciate the skills these pilots have and how poorly they are paid to fly these planes every day with the responsibilities. I will be back and am hooked. No doubt Peter has the skills to hop in a real 737 and fly it even though he is not rated a Commercial Airline pilot. He has a monthly club to join for $29 and you get discounts. It's unreal we have such an awesome facility in Tampa Bay. Peter and his wife are great people and I enjoyed talking to them. Rick Stemboroski

My son did this on our trip to Dunedin. If you like flying and are interested in flight simulation you should check this out. We did the 20 min. intro flight and was worth the $40. My son loved it. I think it is www.flightsimtampa.com athough they are in Dunedin, FL

We had planned a trip to Clearwater, being an air craft mechanic I always wanted to fly a flight simulator. The advertisements state that they have real flight simulators, but in reality there is nothing real about them. The fighter jets are just a seat with a monitor in front of it. The race car would probably be the most realistic of the simulators they have there, but I was not interested in that. I chose the 737 sim because it at least looked like a genuine simulator. The flight experience was less than thrilling. The point of me wanting to do this was that I always wanted to fly an aircraft. However, fifteen to twenty minutes of the simulation was taken up by the instructor explaining every dial in the cockpit followed by another ten minute dissertation on how everything was real time weather. If that's what you are looking for in a flight simulator, and I assume that's what most want in an experience, then this is for you. But if you're like me, and actually want to feel like you flew an airplane, this is not worth your money. The instructor does all of the taxiing out to the runway. After that, he gives you the controls and you get to take off. After following a black dot on the instrument panel for five minutes, he switches it into autopilot mode. The next twenty minutes are spent going over the dials of the plane yet again. Upon arrival at your destination, he does disengage the auto pilot and you are free to try to land. That being said, he acts as if it is a real airplane. He kept taking over control when I was veering off course. It got the point where he finally just took over the stick and landed the plane. I'm still trying to figure out what the harm would have been if I had crashed the simulator. Overall, this has potential to be a fun experience if he let the customer who is paying over $100 crash the plane (if it comes to that). Maybe there are people out there who don't want to crash, but I am more hands-on and would rather attempt for myself to feel like I did something worthwhile.

Wanted to do something unique for my grandsons 11th birthday this year and since I knew we'd be visiting Florida in July I decided to book a time at SimCentre. The reviews here portrayed it as a wonderful experience. What a let down. from the moment we walked into a very empty building greeted by a man who talked fast and told us he was in the process of setting this facility up we were disappointed. My grandson and his stepfather decided upon the fighter jet simulator. no action or simulation at all. The owner just did alot of talking , to try and build excitement, all information we could have read anywhere. The two machines do not move, no noise, it's just a big video game and a a not too exciting one at that. For the cost of $159.00 we felt totally ripped off. My grandson has more fun with some of his games at home..save your money...seriously a flat, slow, disappointing event.

My sons and I were given gift certificates for the Sim Center for our vacation in Florida. We were all able to try all of the simulators. Formula I, F-35, F-16 and the Boeing 737. It was a blast. I have never had the chance to kill myself in so many ways and have this much fun doing it. Both the gentlemen that run the Center were very instructive - and amazingly knowledgeable about what we were doing. They elevated it above just game playing. The Formula I was awesome - it is totally different from driving a normal car - and he explained why and told us how to handle it. Excellent Graphics! It's amazing to see the differences between the controls on an F-16 compared to the F-35. An amazing technology upgrade. Still wondering how he managed to get the specs on the F-35. They can also have both simulators work as F-16's and you can dogfight each other. The Boeing Simulator was amazing - the detail is incredible - and you realize very quickly that no one can walk into a cockpit and fly this type of plane without years of training. I've already recommended this place to all the people I know who go to this area of Florida.

Like play station~nothing special! After having the 20 minutes driving simulation for 40$ we can only say that it was heavily overrated as it does not offer anything special. You will find much better things to spend your money on.

I bought a Groupon for my grandsons for their birthdays and I will do it again the next time that we come to Florida. They said that they had a great time and would do it again. They did the fighter jets and the owener's said that they plan on adding a helicopter and a Formula One race car in the future.

My second time there and they did not disappoint again! This time we did a short Formula 1 ride and tried the new Space Simulator. Whatever these guys do, they do it with all their hearts and it makes a difference. The space sim is a real eye-opener and so educational! Right before us a big group of summer camper teenagers visited and they were raving about their experience as well. I can see this being a part of the education of the future.

I took my husband her for his birthday. I was looking for something unique to do beside go out to dinner. We had a great day because we brought our 5 year old and there was stuff for her to do as well! There is a kids race track that looks like "Radiator Springs" from Cars. She played on that while my husband tried a real fight jet simulation and an astronaut simulator! He had adult fun, she had kids fun and it was all in the same place :) I want to bring the rest of my friends! :)
