- Katie VBartlett, Illinois9 contributionsGreat beach spotBest beach vacation spot. Dropped off at the pier and spent 3 hours on the beach and in the water next to the pier. Walked to a restaurant to eat. Then walked some shops and the pier. My daughter loves to get souvenir pennies and they had a machine there for them. Definitely a great spot.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 25, 2024
- Love222trav125 contributionsStop by!Free until the very end and you don’t need to go out there unless you’re fishing, even then, it’s only a buck a person. It’s clean, nice vendors on there today too. Clean. Nice breeze, gorgeous views.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 6, 2024
- madelineAsheville, North Carolina56 contributionsLots to See and DoThere was a festival going on at the pier while we were visiting. There were lots of booths set up selling wares, caricature and Portrait artists, face painting, etc. We saw rays and various fish from the pier. We didn’t go past the point that leads to the fishing portion but I’m sure there would have been even more to see from there. It wasn’t overly crowded and we enjoyed our time looking around.Visited April 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 12, 2024
- Aashish KColumbus, Ohio101 contributionsSunset from the PierIt can get pretty crowded, especially around sunset. But sunset from the pier is worth the nominal $1 per person fee.pier, there are also plenty of vendo Like any other rs and things to do around here. If you can get there early enough, spending the day under the pier is also a surprising way to cool off.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 15, 2024
- Mary Gay HNorth Fort Myers, Florida62 contributionsFun vacation with petsOur VRBO was on the Northern less crowded part of the beach and allowed dogs as did the beach, which is gorgeous. The southern end contains most of the restaurants and shops And The Pier. Our boat ride was fun at sunset in the shark. There is lots of paid parking available.Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 17, 2024
- Tonya G4 contributionsPostcard viewsIf you don't know, now you know! Hands down the best place in CB to catch the most stunning sunsets! You can view from the beach or the Pier, if you pay $1 at the store on the Pier you can cross the gates and go out to the end of the Pier. Here you will catch views that radiate the sky line and vibrant colors that look like fire. It's beautiful. Pier 60 does not just offer the views, it offers much more each night. Almost like a celebration, each night 2 hours before and 2 hours following sunset, vendors line the Pier and there are a variety of street performers that comes from across the country and all of the world. It's always different, fun for everyone including the kids which there is a playground and an inflatable area. Don't miss out, be sure to check out the Pier on your next trip.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 27, 2024

Large fishing pier located at the center of Clearwater beach but it is so much more as sunset approaches. There are many vendors selling crafts and some performers such as a fire show. It was a fun atmosphere but it was very crowded with no social distancing and less than half the people with masks. It has some benches along the pier and plenty of places to get some nice photos. It is free but you have to pay $1 to get out to the last 1/3 of the pier. This is a fun activity for the family and the price is right.

We had been to Key West Sunset Celebration and was hoping for the same experience with Pier 60 Sunset Festival – We were disappointed in comparison. We drove to the area over a hour before sunset, and found parking to be impossible. After over paying for parking with a long walk to the pier, we founded it to be overcrowded for a Thursday evening. The Pier itself is fill on both sides with people selling tourist trinkets making it even more crowded to get around. The street performers consisted of a guitar player, some dancers and after sunset a juggling act that we end up leaving before the end of the show. I would suggest finding a less tourist & crowded area to Enjoy sunset.

The pier had some vendors like at a craft fair. It had a big blow up slide to go down. We went out there to see the sunset but they charge $1.00 a person to go out there. We did see an ok street performer. It was something to check out but have no need to go back to.

The pier is nice open 24 hours Friday til Sunday other wise closes at 10pm. $1.00 you can walk on the pier but fishing runs $8 to 16 dollars depending if you need to rent their poles. They have a cute shop with drinks and snacks ,frozen bait and knick knacks, shells, shirts and hats to buy as well. While the men fish ,ladies and kids can go on the beach right next to it.

Have been fishing off the pier since the mid 1970's, my sons have been brought up learning how to fish there. Since moving to Florida, I go whenever possible. My only complaint is that there are way too many non-fishing people allowed out there. It's crowded enough with people fishing and that is multiplied with all the onlookers that for the most part are annoying. There should be a cutoff for people that just want to walk on the pier.

Nice long pier with nothing on it but fishing or strolling for a fee during the day. Comes alive at night with street performers and tourists if you don't get rained out. Almost impossible to find a place to park, and expect to pay up to $6/hour if you go during prime-time and want t park.

Besides being in a beautiful location the peer offers some good fishing. We have been here a number of times and each time we seem to catch something different. I like the fact that there is a little store there to buy or rent equipment if need be and use the bathroom facilities all for a reasonable price.

Walked out here around 6:30 with sunset. Lots of other folks doing the same. There were street vendors almost all the way to the pier store. Vendors selling mostly trinkets, inexpensive jewelry, stuff to sit on a shelf. There is tourist shop selling the usual beach stuff, hats, T shirts, etc. the pier extends past the store but it costs $1 to go further. If you are there walk it but not worth trip to see by itself.

Pier 60 is located at the center of the Beach Walk extending 1,080 feet into the gulf and is a great spot for the incredible sunsets. Before and after sunsets, vendors line the pier and there is a gift shop halfway and a fishing area at the end costing a $ to go past the shop. Nice views of the shoreline from the pier.

We loved our many visits to Pier 60 while we were in Clearwater, FL. So much to do and see! Awesome entertainers and vendors, slides and inflatables. Go early to get a parking space. Vendors and entertainers are there 6pm-10pm daily weather permitting.

Wife and I coming late June and would like to bring our portable game set which is like a combination of badminton and Pickleball. If we can find a flat space on the public beaches just north or south of Pier 60, are such games permitted? Search Sandy pickle to see what the game looks like of you need to see it before answering - not sure posting it here here is permitted

How will Friday July 2 be for Clearwater Beach? Want to rent chairs and umbrellas. Do we need to be there at the crack of dawn to snatch chairs?
Written June 22, 2021
We personally got there around 10:00 a.m. everyday and never had a problem one day we were running behind and were there around noon and still got a cabana and 6 chairs so it all just depends on the traffic that day!
