Our driver, Bob, went above and beyond. He might as well be on the Dunedin tourism commission!
A real positive experience.
Perhaps a softer suspension system on the bus would make it even better .

First ride on the trolley was great. Driver picked us up directly in front of the Marriott Sand Key where we are staying. On the way back, we waited in front of the Beach Walk stop. The trolley was early at 5:47 today, but we were there waiting. The female driver looked at us as we were waving to get her attention and continued driving. Didn't even stop. So we walked across the street and waited in front of Crabby's - a stop facing the wrong direction, but at this point it was either wait another half hour in 90 degree weather or walk 2-3 miles to the hotel in the heat. This time the same female driver reluctantly stopped for us, but then complained we were on the wrong side to go to Marriott and it would be 45 minutes. Stops need to be clearly marked. Drivers need to actually stop if there are people waiting and certain drivers badly need customer service training. Don't count on the trolley to get you home.

Courtney, thank you, first of all, for your review. Do you happen to know the trolley number you were on? The name of the driver, perhaps? What was the exact date? With a few more details, this will assist us to research what happened from our end. Thank you!

I had read a lot about the Jolley Trolley, and was excited to experience it when in Clearwater. So, on July 9th late afternoon we decided to walk to stop 22 - Surf Style - to take the trolley as a type of "tour" to have a better idea of the city. It arrived at 5:15 instead of 5:05 - not an issue for us since we do understand traffic and the city was crowed.

It was our first time in Clearwater and we had a few questions, the driver was not too friendly, almost seemed annoyed with my husband's questions. We sat down and decided to enjoy the ride. Well, the dirver was short with almost every passenger who hopped in and had a question, including an elderly man who was carrying groceiries and had a question regarding his Flamingo pass.

We went on a "loop" ride, and were disappointed because the driver did not provide any information about the area, and was anything but jolley. We had plans to take the trolley to Tarpon Springs, but after this experience, we changed our minds. When in St. Pete, we took the trolley which was a far better experience.

Taking the trolley, which stopped near our hotel, seemed like a good idea, since parking in Clearwater Beach was hard to find and expensive. We should have driven our car. The trolley was never at the stop at the time listed on their schedule. When we tried to come back to the hotel from the marina, we waited in the sun for quite a while at the trolley stop. When the trolley finally arrived, (late again), we were told by the driver that we couldn’t board there. We had to catch another trolley across the road. To cross the very busy main highway, we had to walk quite a ways to a crosswalk, where we waited in the hot sun again for another trolley which was a long time coming. Before boarding, we asked the driver if he stopped at a certain restaurant, which was the closest stop to our hotel. We got on, and after a while, he stopped at a restaurant with the same name, but far from our hotel. When we told him that we wanted to get off at a different restaurant with the same name, he answered in a sharp tone, “You’re on the wrong trolley. You need to go back to the marina
and take the South Beach trolley.” We didn’t even know there was a South Beach and a North Beach! So we were dropped off at the marina stop, and had to walk down the street to the crosswalk to go across that same busy highway again! And yes, we had another long hot wait for the next trolley! We finally got back to our hotel, and never took the trolley again! The problems seem to be a lack of information signs and rude drivers!

A BARGAIN! Best way to economically and reasonably get around Clearwater, North Clearwater Beach, Clearwater Beach, Downtown Clearwater and Sand Key all for $5.00 all day pass.
Definitely need to choose time of day because it can become crowded and packed. Runs every 40 minutes and drivers can be the best or the worse. Passes near or close to all the major sites and points of interest. ADA wheelchair accessible. Can be a challenge for scooters depending on the size

Trolley left earlier than what it was scheduled for and the address takes you to the wrong spot. Would No recommend. When telling the driver someone in my group was almost here, they shut the door and drove off. Terrible service

We found trolley drivers very helpful regarding how to get around the section of Clearwater we were interested in. We cruised Mandalay Avenue (and some residential areas by mistake!); beware the D'OR crew on Mandalay - fun for a couple minutes maybe, but they're a bit over the top, product is laughingly priced. GOOGLE it.

We have used the Jolley Trolley while in Sand Key for years, but I am not sure I will ever use it again. This trip the drivers have been rude, unhelpful and the trolleys are never on time. The app has proven to be worthless and today as we waited for a trolley - it flew right past us. The bus before it had stopped and told us we needed to wait for the one behind him to get to our destination. Never mind! It didn’t even slow down - and we were at a Jolley Trolley stop. Ugh.

$5 for a round trip. Lots of stops and goes from tarpon to the beach. Cold A/C in the trolleys. Only bummer is that you have to wait at the bus stations for 10 min for them to pick up riders. Also, the pick up area smelled like urine at Clearwater beach.

I took this when I went from Clearwater Beach to BayCare Ballpark. Driver Dave was VERY personable and punctual. The pick-up was as scheduled only a block or two from my lodging. He volunteered information about places we passed in route. Dave also provided an unexpected complimentary cold beverage to and from the game. When adding the value of the beverage, the savings of $13 parking, and the Frenchies free drink coupon, the shuttle was a real money saver for one person, as well as a pleasant convenience. The only downside is that the arrival of the shuttle at around 12 is after batting practice, and for parties of two or more, the shuttle is a convenience and not a money saver.
