Friendly staff, enormous selection! Had a long conversation with one of the employees and ended up buying 5 things I hadn't planned on (good salesman!). Also met the owner. Friendly guy as well. A little pricey on some things but you get what you pay for. The shrimp spread is excellent! It's not really a restaurant, more of a fresh... More

Spent the day in Clearwater and wanted to find fresh seafood. We moved to Orlando nearly 4 years ago an are sorely disappointed in the amount of fresh seafood we've found. Wards might not look like much from the outside; but the minute we walked inside we found a great assortment of clams, mussels, shrimp, fresh fish, amazing stone crab... More

Found Wards Seafood on October 22 after going to Frenchy's in Clearwater for their "famous" stone crab festival. We wanted to take our crab to go....because we wanted to get back to Tampa to watch the Michigan game. Frenchy's said we had to eat the crab there so we found Wards and so happy we did. Not only was their... More

I am planning a Feast Of The Seven Fishes again this year for Christmas Eve. It was so much fun going in last year, seeing a selection like I have never seen before! Everything was so fresh and the seaweed salad was amazing! Don't knock it until you've tried it.. lol. The staff was so helpful also. If you have... More

I walked in and lost 3 IQ points. BIG sign over ticket dispenser declared "You must take a ticket even if you placed a call in order, do not pass go do not......you get the idea. I took a ticket the four others in front of me did not. Then the fish monger asks whose next? Duh? Live by the... More

Not much to look at from the outside and in the middle of a pretty sad looking part of town, lies a gem. Kind of like the beautiful pearl that comes out of the hideous looking oyster shell Ward's is it. Great selection of fresh seafood and prepared items. Quite simply if Ward's doesn't have it they probably don't make... More

Prices are better than what I find at Publix and the quality is so much better. Not only do they have fresh fish, they also have prepared items also that are amazingly awesome. Don't forget the fried fish dinners to go? If you like a great selection of fresh fish, then visit Wards today. My favorite is the Scottish Salmon,... More
