This is a good local park showcasing some native owls, snakes, and other wildlife that can be found in the area. There are some nice educational exhibits and a rustic walking trail from the nature center out to Moccasin Lake.

First time here. Really a great park. It's a rehabilitation center also. Learned alot from the staff. Enjoyed the company of three very special owls that they take care of their and one red shouldered hawk. Very peaceful walk. Admission is free but donate a few bucks to help out this great park. Recommend for anyone.

Most under rated park of all time. I love this place!! They take care of birds that have disabilities. They have owls, bald eagles, a vulture and others. It's pretty incredible. Also have a nice loop trail that takes you by a lake. Great upkeep & great people. I recommend this to anyone in the Clearwater area.

The park has many injured birds that are handled by a well informed staff. The grounds are a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. Don't forget your camera and a good pair of walking shoes. There is however, a bridge that is out and it has been for sometime. This kind of limits the direction of your walk. The city... More

It was a quite weekday when we went. It had a couple of displays that were empty and part of the trail was closed due to water damage but all in all a nice way to spend an afternoon. Saw an 8 to 10 foot gator in the lake. Needless to say, no swimming.

Was closed the first time we visited. Only opened from Thursday to Sunday so we returned recently. Some small animals and one trail around property going out to small lake. Most of this place seems run down and in need of updating, even rest rooms. Not bad but we expected more. Interested hard working staff. Saw more wildlife walking around... More

On my visit, some of the animal cages had spider webs on them, weeds had taken over some walkways and the small museum was musty and unorganized.

Nice walk and nice to see the eagles. Very peaceful I can't believe this is where it is! Very romantic stroll. They butterfly garden wasn't very exciting when we went but the overall experience was very nice!

A wonderful place to visit. Some creatures to see, and wonderful trails to stroll along. Beautiful scenery and great opportunity to take some nice photographs. I've been there twice now and I wouldn't hesitate to go again. Nice to go with a friend and walk and talk along the way. They also offer many various programs, hikes, bird watching, activities... We visited Mocassin during a stay at Clearwater beach as a break from the beach. The entrance hall has a collection of reptiles and amphibians that the kids loved. Outside there are some injured birds and a butterfly garden all of which are good to view. The trail then meanders through the wild area in the shade so cool enough.... More
