Before our visit I had no idea that this was a marine hospital and rehab facility. We really enjoyed listening to the staff describe the different challenges that the animals faced. My son really loved watching the sea otters and the sea turtles and was...More

Clearwater Marine Aquarium is well worth the money and time. They rescue sea mammals and give talks to visitors. The public can view, through a window, operations on the sea life, view the kitchen to observe what they feed, and see the animals. I saw...More

We arrived really early so we could park at the aquarium, we pre booked a boat ride and we were given entry to the aquarium free, a mistake I think! It's always interesting, they were doing laser surgery on a turtle. We took the dolphin...More

This is really a marine hospital and rehabilitation facility. They care for injured animals and release those that can go back into the wild. They go a great job teaching. Winter and Hope from Dolphin Tails live here and it was fun to see them....More

This is definitely not your typical aquarium. It's important to note that as this is a rescue & research for these animals. Seeing the animals up close is great. And if you have a Dolphin Tale fan this is really up their alley- it's Winter...More

It's really sad the movie has taken over the aquarium. Souvenirs are outrageously priced. The facility is fairly run down too. Our daughter loves Dolphins and has asked for years to go see Winter. They rotate the main pool, so you may wait a little...More

This was our first stop (after lunch) after getting off the plane in Tampa. My daughter really wanted to come and I wasn't sure what it was. The price at first seems a little high, but I thought of it as a donation to the...More

Great work- good cause, very modest place, no frills. Simple. Not as fancy as Tampa Aquarium. Educational programming. You can pet the small rays.

Yes they do have discounts for Vets, I don't remember what it was exactly but I think it was like half off. The money goes to the center so that they can help the rescues, that is some what comforting, I guess. :)

We went during the week. I would check the web site or phone to check the activities scheduled for the weekend vs the week. My experience in Florida has been that weekdays are the best for any activity.
