Sitting directly across the street from the water, this is a beautiful location to take in the view, stroll, frolic with children or just bring a chair & enjoy being near the water. Very clean & well kept, just behind the library, free parking - all great things. Small pond with fountain is here & it looks like there might be an opportunity at times for concerts as there is a bandstand as well. Restrooms would be a welcome addition but this is a lovely area.

Coachman Park is located right on the water just across from Clearwater Beach and right by downtown Clearwater. The sunset views are amazing, and the venue itself is really nice. Every year it is the site for the Clearwater Jazz Holiday, a four day music festival and flat out giant party. This year the acts include Chicago, Boyz to Men, Trombone Shorty and many others. I highly recommend both the park and the Jazz festival. Go visit, you'll be glad you did!

I had never been to Coachman Park or even new what it looked liked. I bought tickets to the John Legend concert this past weekend and I bought the tickets the day before the concert not knowing he was in town as I drove to Clearwater for a mini vacation. Keep in mind I dressed nice because I felt John Legend is a classy Soul Music artist. I purchased general admission tickets as the closer seats to the stage were sold out.

1. When I pulled in and the girl stopped me she did not charge me for parking, then when I drove about another 20 feet another girl stopped me telling me I didn't pay $20. Well that's not my fault. The lady said she will chew out the other girl for not charging me. That was weird.

2. Parking was horrible. They couldn't figure out where to place us so they had us follow some path to a side street and had us park our cars on an angle in which anyone driving fast down the street could easily clip the front of someones car and maybe my $100,000 Mercedes.

3. When entering the concert area, the lady scanned our tickets and the machine said we had already entered. This was a lie. Their was a big issue with this which was embarrassing.

4. We had not eaten so it was cool to see their were many options to buy food but the problem was all the sea gulls flying right over our head and it was many. This was very nasty and ghetto.

5. The only option for alcohol was beer and it was 1 beer line about a mile long so that didn't work out either.

6. Sound was horrible. One artist was on before John Legend came out, and speakers were not anywhere in the back area where general admission seating was. The only speakers were on stage which make the sound in the seating area limited.

7. The seating was horrible. Never in my life did I have to buy tickets to enter an event and then pay $5 for my own seat and then have to wait in line to buy the seat and have to carry the seat over to the general admission seating area. This was very very ghetto.

8. The people who had the more expensive seating did not have to buy or setup their own seats and they were ROPED off to their own little world make me feel as if I was a broke loser who had to buy my own seat and carry the seat. This was far from classy.

9. We decided to leave and lose the money on this horrible and embarrassing experience. When leaving the guy that was letting the new people in screamed at us saying "YOU NEED TO KNOW THEIR IS NO RE ENTRY". I screamed this very loudly and it was embarrassing.

10. In closing, I can't believe a Grammy Award winning artist like John Legend would even perform in a place like Coachman Park. I looked up to him as a major venue type of artist like the Staples Center in LA etc.

I will never attend this park again in my life

We've been to Coachman Park for several events - some were very well done and the entertainment was great. However, others have been a disaster with people standing up in front and blocking the view of the stage for everyone behind them. Despite requests from security to please take their seats, most were ignored or as soon as security left, they stood up again. We left early without being able to see the main attraction because there was no point is seeing only the backs of the rude people standing in front of us.

when we purchased our tickets, website stated "bring lawn chairs", so we purchased general admission tickets to see john fogerty and zztop. upon arrival , a sign at the main entrance said NO LAWN CHAIRS, chairs may be rented. ok, we will rent, guess what, no chairs available, tickets could be upgraded for $85 ! cash only! horrible decisionby mgmt.
Beer lines were ridiculous, 1 line for tickets, 1 line for id bracelet and yet another line for beer. port a pottys were overflowing and not lighted. was this the first concert this company managed? will not be returning, fogerty rocked it!!!

Enjoyed night out with clear, starry skies after sunset. Friends brought chairs and we found a spot behind the little pond. Far from the stage but with the big screen behind it the band is very visible. Bag search to get in, however this concert was free except for VIP seats. Great acoustics! KWS is an amazing guitarist! Lots of food available including my new favorite caramel kettle corn! Great venue for the locals!

This is about the 3rd concert we have gone to at this park. This is a very good place to enjoy music, have a bite to eat and share a glass of wine. General admission was reasonable $25.00 , we supplied our own lawn chairs.
The line up was great Kenny Loggins , Michael McDonald and many others. Ten hours of great music.
The park is right on the water so you get aa great view and a salty breeze.
It is nice to visit even without a concert.
There is a free parking garage about 3 blocks from the park.

Coachman Park is very close to downtown Clearwater, looking out over the harbor and marina. The Clearwater Ferry can be taken across the harbor from the marina. It is also close to the Ream Wilson Clearwater Trail, a biking and walking trail that goes over the harbor to Clearwater Beach. So, the park is definitely in a great location. The City of Clearwater is currently in the final draft stage of its "Imagine Clearwater" Master Plan, which is heavily focused on improving the waterfront and bluff area, including Coachman Park. So, hopefully in the next few years we will see dramatic improvements in the greenspace areas and park amenities. In the meantime, the park offers a great place to walk, bike, and play. There is plenty of free parking in front of the Harborview Center next to the park.

I always feel unhurried here. It's peaceful and relaxing just to stroll lazily along the Harbor Marina.
