Busy beach on a sunny Saturday, parking and traffic was terrible. Once we made it to the beach space was at a premium. The beach was nice, but way too crowded so we found a spot on the beach north of the pier.

Take a stroll along the walkway. It is serene and easy to navigate. Lots of pedestrian walkways to cross the street safely. Nice area. Safe however keep a grip on your personals as you just never know.

You must visit Clearwater FL. Plenty to do. Very nice restaurants, plenty of places to shop and plenty of sightseeing to do.

Good fun and great people-watching! Multiple stores (beach clothing and accessories galore) and restaurants (even a McDonald's) along the Beach Walk.

The best drive will be to take the Courtney Campbell Causeway from Tampa also called Route 60. Florida Route 60 dead ends at PIER 60 on Clearwater Beach (thus the name). So you would be also driving the Causeway from... More

It is more a traffic situation. During tourism season, not just Beach Walk but the entire southern part of the beach area is congested. Basically, bumper to bumper traffic. I don't ride a bike but to me, I would try to... More

Outrigger Regency on Beach Walk Pool (12 Replies)
Has anyone stayed recently @ Regency on Beachwalk and used the pool facilities @Outrigger on the Reef. As I sent a booking accomodation inquiry for dates in April 2014 and was advised by regency that can't use the pool.

Your top 3 lunch locations in and around Waikiki (23 Replies)
We won't have a car most of our time in Waikikil. We have had lots of dinner suggestions but I wonder what would be your top 3 lunch reccommendations in Waikiki area including Beach Walk and HHV areas. Also, doesn't have to be fancy (diners are okay) Thanks for your reccommendations! Sally

Two places we really enjoyed in Waikiki were Cheeseburger Beachwalk (second floor on the Beachwalk, duh) and Gyu Kaku, Japanese BBQ. Really fun and different (for us anyway). Have fun whatever you decide. Diane

Beach walk for Seniors (2 Replies)
My wife and I "62" are going to be in Ft. Lauderdale this weekend for the Air and Sea show. What we so love to do is to walk beaches, We realize the beaches will be packed or shut down because of the air show, but we are looking for a nice public beach that we can walk for a mile or two NORTH of Ft. Lauderdale. We are willing to drive a half hour if need to. Thank you all.

Lauderdale by the Sea, Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach all have easy beach access but you will have to feed a parking meter of some sort.
