Going to the Chamber of Commerce first will enhance your visit and answer any questions you might have. This is a very old Florida City on the Gulf side. It is small and low key, dog friendly, and offers a great insight to Florida's history and development. If you like wildlife you will find plenty to look at as their... More

This is a lovely Chamber of Commerce that provided us with lots of information about the area, including an abundance of brochures, restaurant menus, local newspaper(s), and maps. We also purchased a great full-color illustrated map of Cedar Key for $2 that really is a piece of art! There's also a few other little souvenir-type things to buy. The staff... More

This past weekend Cedar Key held a sea food festival. We attended on 10/16/16.There were many tables filled with various arts and crafts. Most were reasonably priced. We were slightly disappointed in the small amount of seafood tables set up.Probably 8 tables at most and not all offered seafood. Its was still a pleasant activity.Cute little town by the sea great place to... Went in for information about local places to visit. Treated like old friends. Gave us all the info we needed to get where we wanted to go.

Is not the same where is Mary? Guests of Cedar Key were greeted by this bright knowledgeable representative of the town. A true professional that obviously takes her work very seriously. Since Mary ran the Chamber it pretty much turned into a inconsistent shambles. When and if it is open you will get information but not like before.

Staff is friendly and they will give you the skinny on what is open and not. You can find a year-round Christmas tree up to sell local artists ornaments. They have a film that shows what would happen if a big hurricane came in to flood the town. It's cool to view.

We lucked out by stopping here. It turned out the gal who welcomed us had been the Mayor of Cedar Key a couple of times and was still very involved with the community. She gave us so many tips on things to do and sparked our interest in places we would never have thought to do.

The Cedar Key Chamber of Commerce staff is extremely helpful. Its your first stop for information. The Gulf fishing village celebrates seafood and relaxation in equal measure. It's loved for its charming inns, colorful artists and waterfront restaurants along Dock Street that offer fresh catch clams, oysters and crabs for nighttime dinner.
