My husband played a round of golf here on a Tuesday afternoon and I rode along. He played with a cart for $40! The course was very well maintained, GPS carts. We only saw two other players on the entire 18 holes, we nearly had the entire course to ourselves. The staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend playing here.

Played twice this week, only planned to play once but had to come back to enjoy it one more time. Never took my driver out of my bag, used every other club I had. GPS in the carts will help you make good decisions, but over confidence will cost you here. Can't wait to come back and play again. The... More

We went and played twice. No wait and almost no one on the course. The course is in pristine condition and one of nicest around. You won't find a nicer course in the area. Be ready for fun and one heck of a challenge. Water or marsh every hole with tight fairways. Bring extra golf balls...you will need them. We... More

Close by to where we are staying is the St. James Bay golf course. Got a deal through GolfNow and am glad I did. The course greens were aeriated the week before and were terrible to land on and putt on. The carts have GPS which is a must. But, you must study the map closely on each hole, because... More

This "forgotten coast" part of Florida does not have many choices for golf but don't worry. Pick this course and enjoy one of the most dramatic and special experiences anywhere. This course is carved from pure wilderness and every hole reminds you of why you play golf. Be aware it can be tough if you cannot clear 200 yards of... More

We recently returned from a weeklong stay at St. James Bay Golf Club. We were in town for a state baseball tournament and were delighted to find this great place. We've stayed at golf clubs in other areas and paid double to triple what we paid at St. James. Our family of five was perfectly comfortable in our three bedroom... More

this is a beautiful...and brutal...layout. I'm a nine handicap and I lost 6 balls. We played on a Sunday morning and the course was almost empty. It was incredibly hot. Not a breath of breeze and no cloud cover at all. Humidity was near 10000%. We knew that the greens had been punched two weeks before and they had recovered... More

Although we lost more golf balls in the wetlands than I'd like to admit, the design of the course forced me to think and consider my club selection. As a senior woman with a higher handicap, there were several holes where the carry over wetlands was too far. However, the pro encouraged us to be wise and use the drop... More

Let's start by stating that there is no shortage of really good golf courses in Florida. St James Bay is in a secluded part of Florida and should be on everyone's bucket list to golf. Rob Burlison is the head pro. He runs a tight ship yet very accommodating. The restaurant staff are too friendly. Ask for Miss Bonnie and... More

villa accomodations (only 4) are very nice; this is a golf resort....raining, so we have not had opportunity to try the course, but looks very nice. restaurant at clubhouse is very good. The villa has a nice kitchen, sitting area, and separate bed area...very clean & comfortable....if you are looking for quality on teh Forgotten Coast, this is it. Will... More
