I re-visited this water park on Labor Day Weekend and I enjoyed it. The new gift shop is no longer built into a trailer and the Buccaneer Bites restaurant (which I named) had a better assortment of food than it used to. There is also a kiosk surrounded by the lazy river and pool called Tiki Express that sells alcohol (which so also pitched to the manager). These facilities are clean, effective, and serve the park well. The slides are decent. The biggest ones offer moderate thrills, but nothing too insane. There are also plenty of fun raft slides. The lines are rarely longer than 10 minutes as far as I know. The park is also small in size and easily manageable. There is also a really great kids area called Pirate’s Cove that was honestly my favorite attraction. I feel that overall, there is more space in the park that could be used. For example, there is an abandoned volleyball court and a party pavilion that is not commonly used. These areas could be cleared out for more slides. However, while the park could use some improvements to make the most of its small size, SunSplash is a fun, well-maintained park and the best of Cape Coral’s limited recreation.

For an entry fee of only $10,I guess I got what I payed for.It is a nice family destination, but it gets boring after a short priod of time since there are only 2 slides to go down on with a tube,4 for on your back, and a lazy river. There are also accomidations for young children and lots of lawn chairs for older people to soak up rays on.We rented lockers to keep things we brought in for a charge of $3(at the end of the day,if you return your key you will get $2 back).I found out the hard way(waiting in a line for at least a half hour then being told just before my turn)that they do not alow shirts on the slides. This park wasnt too bad for the price, I wouldnt recomend going a lot of kids.

I want to respond to some of the negative comments. It's a FAMILY WATERPARK for goodness sake! Of course they'll be kids there! Your kids are probably misbehaving too somewhere, and like you never ran around a pool when you were a kid. I have to say I was there today and was pleased to see a lifeguard instruct two boys out of the lazy river ride and squat down and give them a (polite ) talking to. It seems like they have zero tolerance for horseplay, maybe that was a past problem which is now corrected.
If you want a tube to float in the pool or lazy river go early or during the week. Same thing goes for staking out your beach lounger. We went today on the late side, couldn't get lounges and ending up "setting up camp" at the picnic tables on the grass. No problem for us, we were there to get wet! When we finished in the water and had a snack, it was convenient to eat at a table. It was nice to have a table to lean on when we read the paper a bit later. My point is, be flexible, enjoy yourself, you're there to relax.
About food- had the sweetest surprize- their Edy's ice cream is $1.89 in a waffle cone. A WAFFLE CONE! And I used one of the buy one get one free coupons they give you when you buy a season pass- so two waffle cones cost $2 total.
Just a few comments to add to the overall positive remarks this place gets. I love being there, it's relaxing, reasonable and a break from the usual city park. Give it a try!

When we first reached the Sun Splash Water Park we were told by the parking attendant that the park may reopen in 15 minutes. She explained that there was a lightening sighting so they closed the park for 30 minutes. She told us that we could wait for 15 more minutes to see if the park reopened. We did.

There were 6 family members. We had to take 2 cars. It cost us $5.00 per car = $10.00.

We purchased our Sun Splash Water Park tickets for $88.12. We changed into swimsuits and went out to enjoy the water park. Needless to say we did not. We weren’t there 15 minutes when the park employees were telling everyone that they had to leave the park due to a lightening sighting again. They saw it we didn’t.

We were in a long line to get rain check vouchers when the park manager was yelling at everyone to get outside of the park. She said that the park must close for 30 minutes due to the lightening. We complained that we needed to get our rain check tickets. She informed us that all we needed was our ticket stubs from today to get back in on another day.

When we got home we called the water park to reaffirm this policy. We were told that the only way that we could use our ticket stubs for another date was if they totally closed the park for the rest of the day. So we were lied to by the park manager.

They wanted us to stand outside if the park with a 18 month old child in the blazing Florida heat to find out if the water park would reopen or not. This is not right. So in total we spent $98.12 for nothing.

This place is a rip off. I would not recommend it to anyone. Your taking your chances on being ripped off. We are disputing this charge with our credit card company.

Bad business.

Very small water park. Slides are poorly signed for riders heights. This is a very common complaint amongst other forums and they still haven't done anything.
Basically, you need to be over 48" to ride anything. What anything means is the 10 slides. 3 High drop shoots , 2 Raft shoots, 2 Short Drop Slides and 3 normal shoots. 2 were broken. If you have a child under 48" they will be regulated to the splash pad. For $20 and $5 slushie, you can find better value to the local community splash pad.
The Pirate Splash Plan is crowded with many features not working.
The smallest waterpark you will ever see.
Very disappointed and will not return

Took the family here for the day but I probably had more fun than the kids. As a real estate agent in Southwest Florida the market has been crazy and I needed to unplug. The grounds were clean, the staff was friendly and the price for entry is very reasonable. Sun splash in cape coral offers fun for all ages. Definitely worth the visit.

This is by far the worst water park I have ever been to and I have been to water parks all over the world The first thing you come across is the entry booth where they take at least 5 minutes to process each ticket while everyone else in line bakes in the sun. Then you get in to find that you have to pay $8 for a "large" locker that is barely big enough for a pair of shoes. The changing rooms are third rate at best. Once you get into the actual park there is hardly anything there and the walkways are not water sprayed - not good when it is 95f and the walkways are white concrete. There are sand areas that are filthy, there is all manner of rubbish and debris buried in the sand. The final straw was when my son stopped 18inches short of the end of the kids slide and a full rescue was initiated, complete with life guards running, whistles blowing and pushing us out of the way, while the whole time we could have reached him from the bottom of the slide. I then had a form thrust in my face and it was demanded that I filled in all sorts of personal and private information about him as he had been "lifesaved". I politely declined, expressed my displeasure, demanded a refund and left. What a joke. There is a complete lack of any sort of common sense in this place and there is nothing there that justifies the cost, which is very high once you have paid over inflated prices for parking, entrance, lockers etc.

We started our day in the lazy river and then saw the green slides up to the left. We then hopped out of the lazy river only to be screamed at by the unfriendly staff for not going out in a proper exit. We then got back in the river and waited for the next exit where there was a staff member standing saying that the exit was closed and we could not leave that way. I felt trapped in the lazy river. The staff member said they were cleaning "stuff" but would not even specify what this "stuff" was. The tubes in the lazy river were flat if you could even get a tube. The water was grossly warm and very murky. The park wasn't overly crowded yet somehow the lines for the slides piled and piled up once the slides had finally been opened. They had been closed due to lightning even though it was a beautiful sunny day out.

Overall this was the worst experience at a water park it have ever had. Staff members lurk the whole park like prison guards waiting to blow their whistles. I was even threatened to be kicked out at one point for trying again to hop out of the lazy river. I recommend this park to no one as it is anything but a good time.

Sun Splash is a great place to entertain children from 2-18. It is also a relazing way to spend the day for an adult by grabbing a tube and getting in the Lazy River for the DAY! My husband and I go to the park to just float around the river but only try that during the week on a less traveled day.My grand children like it better than the Theme Parks and they are 6-10 years old.

Sun Splash is a great place to take kids- it's not so large and crowded that they will get lost- and the rides are just enough to keep them occupied without getting you worried. The Lazy river is a nice place to soak up some sun while the kids play in the very large kids water area. Not too expensive, either. Altogether- not for thrill seekers, just for some nice family fun.
