Very relaxing place to be. Full of History. We have taken the grandchildren to the play areas. They can play on the usual swings and slides or play in the woods where there are fallen branches left for them to build dens and generally use their imagination. There is a dipping pool and a hill to run up and down.... More

Though I haven't been into oakwell hall itself, it's a nice place to walk and for kids there's a play area too. It makes for a good day out as there's lots of picnic areas too.

Came here in the school holidays just for a muddy welly walk, the kids let off a bit of steam and had a jump around in the puddles and a play in the park.

I like Oakwell Hall and often go go for a walk after church on Sundays. Cafe never has any food after 2:00. It is always busy and I'm sure they could make a profit.

The day we visited was dull and rainy but we enjoyed our relatively short visit none the less, we intend to go back. The 'local authority run cafe' needs 'jazzing... More
