Spent an hour or so touring the ruins of the castle and had a great time. The views from castle are quite lovely and the surrounding forest offers trails for hiking and mountain biking

Easy to go and visit ; pretty closet from Darmstadt; but you have to drive to the destiny ! It is a ruins and just to understand the history of Frankstein

There is a flyer with information in english I didn't use the guide, no guide to help in the tour

Hello Guys, I will be visiting this area in January & just wondered is there an entry fee to get into the castle, Also we have a long drive this day, is 30 minutes enough time to explore the area ? Thank you in advanced for your reply Josh

You don't pay anything to see the small castle. Views are incredible if the sky is clear. However, I recommend you spend a little more time than 30 min and have some coffee and cake at the restaurant - views from there are... More
