Layne was outstanding with our kiddos by helping them pull in the first fish of the day, honking the horn and steering the boat. He put us on fish throughout the day and we had enough fish to feed our group of 11 a few meals. The pictures say it all! Thanks for a great charter!

Read the reviews and booked a 6 hour charter with Snapper Addict for the 6 of us… definitely didn’t disappoint!!! Captain Layne was great and made sure everyone had a great day of fishing. Very personable and knowledgeable, you couldn’t ask for a better fishing experience when down in the area.
Pulled into the marina right before the weather turned and Captain Layne didn’t think twice about filleting all the fish we caught in the middle of a torrential downpour. Consistent to the end!

My husband and I have gone out with Captain Layne twice now and will definitely be going back! Any time we've gone out we've told him what we want to catch and he is spot on! This time we wanted to catch a Hogfish and sure enough we did, along with a nice Gag Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, Yellowtails and Grunts. He also managed to safely navigate us around a storm where we got to see 4 water spouts (in the distance of course). He always makes sure we have a good time and are safe. We went home with 3 bags of fish. Always an awesome time and we can't wait to bring our daughter with us next time!

Really unprofessional. Made reservations one month ago. Captain Layne cancels less than 24 hours before trip stating mechanical issues via text message. Would expect better customer service from someone rated so highly. Fishers beware.... left us with no other options to fish sine we are here for the week and all other charters are booked. My ten year old was really looking forward to it as well. I did receive my deposit back but can only wonder if I cancelled less than 24 hours..... I will not rely on you next time.

Trust me the last thing I want is to cancel your trip. My family counts on me to provide. Boats have issues from time to time. I would love to offer you a discounted trip in the future. I have two boys of my own and I know how they look forward to it. I appreciate you taking time to write a review and I am glad it is only bad because of a coincidence and not because you were unhappy with the trip. Let me know what I can do.

Captain Layne is THE best!!! He took us on an 1/2 day trip in late April. He was at the dock waiting for us when we arrived, left the dock and were literally pulling in fish within 1 hour of leaving the dock!! He cleaned, fileted and bagged up the fish for us when we returned to the dock.
Outstanding experience all the way around! We WILL be back this coming April.

My wife, two kids (ages 8 and 10) and I had a fantastic time on our fishing trip with Captain Layne. We did a 6-hour trip and caught a wide variety of fish, including bonita, king mackerel, goliath grouper, grunt and Atlantic sharks. The trip was action packed and we caught more fish than we could eat. Layne was great with my kids who had never been on a charter fishing trip before. The boat is spacious and the bathroom on board is a bonus. He even gave us some swag at the end of the trip (t-shirt, stickers, key chains and koozies. We had a fish fry and made ceviche with the fish we caught and it was delicious! It was one of our best fishing experiences, we would recommend it to anyone (with or without kids), and we hope to go on another trip with Captain Layne the next time we're in Florida. We were referred to Captain Layne through our Vrbo host. He was so easy to book with and we had a great day fishing with him. We caught so many fish that we had to through away “keepers” since we already had too much for dinner! We definitely recommend booking with a Snapper Addict. He also recommended a restaurant we could go to for dinner that would cook our catch. Picture included below of the final product!

5 Star experience from start to finish! Capt Layne had us catching fish as soon as the bait hit the water and it stayed that way through most of the afternoon. The boat is clean and comfortable. We had a relaxing, fun and memorable day. Thanks Capt Layne!

We had an awesome day aboard the Snapper Addict chartered by Captain Layne. He provided fresh bait, tackle and an all around good time! We were on the fish in no time with nonstop action and caught a mixed bag of gag grouper, lane snapper, porgies, grunts, spanish mackerel, and a few hogfish. We had a blast and made memories to last a lifetime. Upon returning, Layne filleted our catch and stuffed our coolers full! If you're visiting AMI and looking for a knowledgeable local guide for an offshore trip, book a trip with Captain Layne the Snapper Addict!

Captain Layne was excellent, we started catching fish as soon as we dropped bait. And caught all types of fish at every location we went to. It was amazing!!
And just to tell you the type of man he is, when our ride back home fell through, he drove us back to our hotel! He is an awesome guy!! We will definitely book with him again!!

We are coming to AMI from Dec. 28-Jan 4. I have heard that the fish are not biting this time of year. Could you please tell us if you have any luck fishing this time of year and how much it costs per person for a 1/2 or full day.

I am in town again but not looking for a fishing charter. Any chance you have a recommendation for a private charter through the inter coastal? It’s just my wife and I and I know you will steer me in a good direction. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry had to change my answer as my prices have changed and don't want to have any more confusion. The current prices are on my website and don't wear your Sunday best as we are trying to catch fish that sometimes bleed a lot. All you need is drinks sunscreen and a cooler to take fish home, I have the rest covered!
