    Amazing place
Love Bradenton beach, Anna Maria island. Stubbled across this place on the gulf coast when I was about 15 I’m now 40 I have been to the USA 24 times. But out of them 14 times in a row I have only been back to this place. Travelled all over and stayed in florida all over to Miami to florida keys. This is my go to place and will always will be. White Sandy beaches, clear warm seas. Very quiet and private not far from Sarasota great place with lots of things off the island. Not far from ellenton shopping place. Omg the manatees and dolphins. Oh and the food. I’m from UK and this is and will always be my 1st top place out of USA and Europe. If you go once you cannot ever stop. Just beautiful.

    Absolute Paradise
Bradenton Beach is a beautiful beach. You can walk for miles. They have a fishing pier. Beach restaurants and rentals. There are multiple beaches all connected. Ample parking for miles from Cortez Beach down towards Siesta Beach. Tons to do in walking distance. There are bars, restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream shops, shopping, gift shops, rentals for het skis, boats, and more. Sunset cruises, dolphin cruises, and more. A great place to relax or get a group of people and have your beach party. Absolute paradise! Always small shells on the beach, at times bigger ones, and for the first time in a while, sand dollars. They seem to not be common on the gulf side.

    Bradenton Beaches
Bradenton beaches are beautiful and Anna Maria Island is a great place to visit. I went to the beach with my fishing pole and cast out into the surf hoping for whiting, redfish, or flounder. Imagine my surprise when one of the life guards came up and said you are not allowed to fish off the beach. I grabbed my gear and left. On the way out several of the sunbathers asked if the life guard had asked me to stop fishing. I said yes. They thought that odd. Even the Pro Angler App recommended by the FWC suggests fishing is permitted on the beaches. I researched the city ordinances and it does say no fishing in areas where bathing is permitted. I have to admit this is the first beach in Florida I have been to where fishing is not allowed. I have been to the Atlantic beaches, the Fort Myers area, and the panhandle and all of those beaches permit fishing. Beware, if you want to fish on the beach. I was told I could fish from the beaches on the north end of Anna Maria Island, so, I went there and fished. There were people swimming, but, there were no life guards.

Traffic on Cortez and Manatee going to and from the Islands including Longboat Key and St Armand Circle exit is frankly atrocious! Avoid at all cost going anywhere on or off the islands from 4 pm through at least 8 pm. It will take you at least 1-1 1/2 hours just to cross any of the access bridges. Very frustrating! Roadworks start on Cortez on Monday the 6th Jan so that will even exasperate the problem. Be warned as it is really bad almost any time of the day. Municipalities, time to put another bridge in or restrict access to residents only!

We’ve got another week or two and then we won’t be able to go back out to Bradenton Beach until after spring break. They’re now putting in a Daiquiri Deck and that went in one of the few public parking lots they have. My advise to the town council, before the new housing goes up just east of the island, build a multi level parking deck. Taking the trolley is a pain and people are just going to go somewhere else where they don’t have to sell their souls for a parking space.

Barely crawling traffic northbound even with poor weather. Beaches are empty. If there is a hurricane most will not make it out. We can't do business out here as traffic ties us up too long. There is almost no southbound traffic.

We’ve stayed at various places all over the gulf from Seacrest Beach to Navarre Beach and this place was a nice blend of the two. It wasn’t anywhere as high end as Seacrest, but not barren like Navarre. There were plenty of touristy things to do and it was easy to get around with the free shuttles. If you want higher end, you can go south to St Armands Circle in Sarasota. Or you could head north to Ana Maria Island where it was quieter. The beaches were nice, the food was just ok. The food was better in St Armands Circle. Hope this helps.

We stayed one block away. Walked the beach daily in the mornings. Sunsets are gorgeous. Sand is soft and white. Shell picking plentiful. We’ve been to a lot of beaches.....wife says this is the cleanest one ever! We love our time on AMI.

My wife and I recently visited Bradenton beach while staying in Clearwater. This is a very cool area with a great beach, nice shops, and very nice eateries. We enjoyed our visit and caught a nice sunset as well.

We rented a house on the gulf through Anna Maria Island Vacations. It was nice but needed some remodeling. It had a small pool and a great dock. It was about a 3 block walk to the beach side. We had some excellent food at Bamboo Island restaurant. It was outside and rather hot. I would go back and next time rent a house directly on beach side. We really loved the whole area. They do not have enough parking in town.
