Booked a half day solo charter with Captain Chris to check off a bucket list item of catching a shark. When I got to the boat he told me his plan was to “catch fish and use those to catch bigger fish and use those to catch bigger fish.” After catching some small bait fish with a throw net he quickly got us on a bunch of Jack and Bonita. I’m a horrible fisherman (I went out by myself a few weeks ago and didn’t catch anything until I pulled up the anchor and a crab that was smaller than a dime was stuck in the mud on the anchor fell in the boat. My hat also blew off on the way back.) so after catching fish non stop I was happy with the day. But Chris booked those bait fish up to the Shark rods and got us going. We hooked up a huge Bull shark and battled for 45 minutes. Chris set us up again but this time it was much quieter. I was ready to call off shark fishing and try for something to eat. I started to reel in the other shark rod when Chris said keep it in till I set these rods up. Right as he was finishing we hooked up an 11 foot hammerhead. We battled this thing for well over an hour. Chris was helping me reel and maneuvering the boat around so we didn’t lose it. Every time we got it close to the boat it would dive. Absolutely demoralizing. Chris kept saying “take your time, it’s a marathon not a sprint” to which I responded yea but they don’t make you run backwards in marathons. Anyway a while later we finally got this beast up and tied up to the boat. Just long enough to take some pictures and get it back out without hurting the fish. Unbelievable time today Chris. Thanks for everything

My wife and I took our 15 year-old son out for a half-day of fishing with Captain Chris. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to South Florida. Capt. Chris was professional, personal and proficient, as a fisherman, boat captain and fishing instructor/coach/guru. His 1-man operation makes it easy from start to finish. He was really great with the teenager. We caught mahi, amberjack, snapper and porgi, via different types of fishing methods. Capt. Chris even cleaned, filleted, bagged and iced our edible catch without asking for another penny! We took the mahi to Hurricane Alley nearby in Boyton Beach (ask for Emily as your server), where they cooked it up for our lunch . . . doesn't get any fresher than that! I would highly recommend Captain Chris for your fishing excursion/experience, whether you are a newcomer or an expert.

Let me start by saying I am not a novice when it comes to chartering small boat fishing trips. What makes Le-Mieux Charters stand out is Chris catches his own live bait. You do not need to worry about have dead bait and to top it off does not charge extra for the live bait. Has boat is ready to go when you arrive and out of the inlet within 10 minutes once you get your party on board. Right on time, no going to buy bait, waiting for a second mate, getting ice etc. Equipment/gear is in great shape. Very efficient setting up gear from trolling, to kite fishing, to bottom fishing in the same ½ day trip. No second mate needed. Therefore, one less body on the boat and the bonus is you also save on tip money. He knows the fishing grounds, what is biting, and the honey holes (when bottom fishing). You will catch fish. The best part is Chris is a great guy!!

We have fished with Captain Chris Le-Mieux multiple times and had another great experience! We had our seven year old this time for her first off-shore trip and it was a memorable (and wet) one. Many thanks Chris from your Okie friends!

Captain Chris is very thorough and extremely knowledgeable about fishing. He is a great guy, very personable, and dedicated to safety. He is asking patient with those who don't know anything about fishing, and very eager to share knowledge. I brought my 80 year old stepdad, Dan, on his boat to go sail fishing because it was on his bucket list. Captain Chris was good at keeping him engaged so that he didn't feel left out even though he could not maneuver around the boat or reel in big fish by himself. Dan loved being on the boat and talking to Captain Chris about what fishing is like out here in FL. I also forgot to mention the my aunt, who just had foot surgery, was coming with us and captain Chris was very accepting and made our trip truly something to remember. Unfortunately we did not catch any sailfish when we went out, but we did reel in a big wahoo, which Captain Chris cut up for us so that we could cook it for dinner. It was delicious. I would defiantly go out with Captain Chris again for all of my future fishing trips.
