About
Design-Your-Gift is an interactive bead and jewelry design store for ages 5 to 105. Over 40,000 beads that I have purchased in the U.S. and international cities - St. Petersburg, Manila, Venice, New Delhi, Mumbai, Paris, Buenos Aires, Amsterdam and more. Loose beads can be purchased individually, but most visitors sit and design their jewelry on site. Plus, I can teach customers how to finish clasps and ear wires or complete the jewelry for them. Customers can choose to create their own special jewelry for themselves or for gifts for the special women in their lives. It's a great destination for birthday parties, ladies night out groups, rainy days or too hot days in SWFL, or when out-of-town visitors need a creative activity! And great for dads to bring the kids (boys too) on a Saturday to make gifts for mom for the holidays, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, or just because! The schedule is posted on the website or customers are welcome to call to schedule a private party or visit.

I have been to Design-Your-Gift several times over the past 2 years and have never been disappointed. You can buy beautifully crafted jewelry or select a few beads ti take home or: THE BEST: Design and create your own jewelry right there. There are tens of thousands of beads from around the world made from MANY different materials from which to choose all grouped by color shade to help you see what is possible. I have zero crafting talent but have come home with beautiful necklaces and bracelets for which I have received many compliments. Sam or Sue is there to help you through the difficult bits. Come alone or make it a party with friends - but expect to spend at least a couple of hours.

I took my 5 year old daughter and my mother here for an afternoon of bracelet making. We had an amazing time. Sam, the owner, was extremely friendly. She had a huge selection of beads. I was thoroughly impressed with some of the stories of where and how she got the beads. Some of the beads from other countries were very unique. All three of us really enjoyed our time. We left with beautifully crafted bracelets and a wonderful memory to go with them. Next time I go I am taking the girls for a wine and cheese beading party!!

I have visited Design-Your-Gift several times and always enjoy the opportunity to relax and create. There's such a variety of beads and possibilities - you can make something fun, sophisticated or you can match an outfit with a one-of-a-kind piece. You are limited only by your imagination!

My 10 year old grand son came for a visit and he wanted a special gift to take back to his mom. I thought of Design-Your-Gift, and what a cherished gift it would be for him to design and make some jewelry for her. He thought about her favorite colors and designed a very beautiful and unique bracelet and earrings set. He was so proud of his gift and gave it to his mom in the parking lot at the airport when he arrived home. She absolutely loved it! I would highly recommend design – your – gift to anyone looking for a perfect gift for that special someone.
Kaden- it is the perfect place to find a special gift. She has "millions" of beads and I like looking at all of them. She has beads from lots of different countries. I want to go back when I visit again.

Design Your Gift aka The Bead Box is a local treasure tucked away in a quiet strip mall not too far from the beach. I have no artistic talent and my 91 year old mother has less, but with Sam, the owner's, gentle guidance, we both made beautiful one-of-kind necklaces and earrings. Mine were made with beads that Sam had purchased in Turkey. They were a deep aqua glass encased in copper edging. So unique! I get compliments every time I wear them. I know that Sam hosts ladies night out, and when my snowbird friends arrive I can't wait to schedule a party! Whether you live here or are just visiting, don't miss the fun.

"Wow" is how I will start a small group of ladys all meet there it was the 1st time for all but one of us! Can you say Beads from every where she has been in the world amazing, well there was so many to choose from! How is one to chose!
Sam sure knows what she is doing and made us all feel welcome & comfortable.
We all made some thing amazing and we all cherished the time together relaxing laughing! I highly recommend this place it's amazing the fellowship that just happens when your having such a great time!

Looking for a white summer necklace at too many retail stores and coming up empty, my friend recommended this amazing bead shop. And what a shop! LOTS of choices and so much fun designing our own jewelry! Samantha and Sue were extremely helpful with advice and humor! Great two hours! We chose the beads, strung them as they directed, and they added the clasps etc. I left with the white necklace I had spent many hours seeking! Take a friend--great place.

Today my friend and I went to Design Your Gift to design earrings to go with a favorite necklace. It was my first visit to this store and I was amazed at the selection and quality of the beads (over 40,000!) and great customer service. I showed my necklace to the owner (Sam) and she led me to options of beads that I could consider. I had so much fun designing my earrings. I called it "Bead Heaven" because it was so much more than I expected with colorful crystal beads and fresh water pearls, sterling silver beads and every color of the rainbow beads! And if you don't want to design your own jewelry, there are beautiful necklaces, bracelets and earrings, even rings made from glass. So would I go back? definitely! And recommend this place to friends and family for a unique way to bring more fun and beauty to you and those you love. Great time to be a child again at "Bead Heaven."

My Red Hats group invited Sam and Sue to come to our park and "show us the beads"! They were great, and the gals had a lot of fun! I had run across Design-Your-Gift online, while looking for an adventure for our December gathering. This was something different, and it was so wonderfully accommodating for our Red Hatters who do not leave the community as often. After my initial phone conversation with Sam, we kept in touch and ironed out the details via email. This worked perfectly, and she was always quick to reply! Very professional, and she got us excited about our event!
The ladies did not know what was in store for them until just before Sam and Sue arrived. When I told them, they were curious and very interested to see what this was all about. Sam brought a great variety of beads to choose from, as well as some pre-made items, per my request. We had also discussed some specific types/themes of beads she might have, and she brought those along as well.
Some of the ladies, including myself, created our own baubles. Some purchased items already made, and I think one lady did both! Even those who did not buy anything had a delightful time learning how to make jewelry and helping their friends choose beads for their creations. One thing I really liked and appreciated, too, was that Sam and Sue were not pushy in any way. They made us all feel totally comfortable and not like we had to buy anything if we didn't want to. The idea was to have fun, and that we did!
I will definitely be going to check out the Design-Your-Gift location in January when my teenager comes for a visit, as well as taking a friend of mine on a belated birthday outing! I love the special stretchy bracelet I created at our Red Hats event (treat for myself), and am looking forward to making something else!
So thankful I found out about this gem in Bonita Springs!

Thanks for your question. No, not at all, unless you are a group of 5 or more, then I like to make sure I have an additional person to help your "party." But otherwise just come on in - Tuesdays and Thursdays 10-5, Wed and Fridays 1-5 and Saturdays 10:30 to 3:30 (but 5/21 12:30 to 3:30 ) Hope this helps. Sam
