Nice beach to walk and gather shells. Water is clear and beach is very clean. We walked up and down the beach and collected many different shells. Bring swim shoes as the shells could be sharp to walk on too.

Then only major fireworks that I know of are launched from Naples Pier, which is about 18 miles from Barefoot Beach. I would recommend driving closer to the fireworks, but be sure to get there at least 2 hours early... More

When we were there, I think there was a phone number on the fence surrounding the kayaks. Otherwise, I 'd check on the website, or ask the ranger at the gate where they collect the $8 parking fee - they seem helpful.
