Nice beach with easy access. Shells are in abundance right now but seem to be patches of sand that give way for a clearer walking on the sand. Travel early for cheaper spots with easy access to the beach.

There are a couple of parking spots along Hickory Blvd for an easy access to the beach. Luckily we had a good timing - past the morning walkers and before the beach people so we got parking most of the days. Good for a long walk up to Barefoot beach.

I got into Bonita Springs in the late afternoon. I checked into the Homewood Suites, where I was spending the weekend, and then drive to the Gulf Coast. I had hoped to check out Barefoot Beach, which I had heard a lot about. After driving through a very ritzy neighborhood for about a mile, at a very slow speed, I... More

Very nice , parking can be an issue. If there's no spot go south 1 block. If there's nothing there? Go further south...

Parking can be crowded after 10 am, we liked to be near restrooms so paid 2$/ hour to park. Can walk to Docs Beach House nearbyfor food / drink; rent jet skis and parasail. Also snow cone station near parking lot had cold drinks and some food as well. Decent prices. Sand has lots of shells, so bring sneakers or... More

Our favorite beach on the West Coast & that's a hard decision. Last time we actually fed an Hibiscus blossom to a Gopher tortoise. The grandchildren loved it. Stay for high tide & you'll get to see the dolphins come in to feed. Nice boardwalk, clean restrooms & ample parking. Be advised that there's NEVER enough parking during season.

A really great beach. Nice sand and it would be great for shelling. I also noticed a number of fishermen that were having pretty good success. Doc's beach house is there for food and drink. The parking did get crowded by 10:00am so plan accordingly, it is $2.00 per hour.
