My 13 yr old son and I had a great trip with Captain Eddie. He put in the work to make sure we had a great trip. He's patient and friendly. We had a great time landing a couple really nice Redfish and then a score of Snook. Looking forward to fishing with Shore Catch Charters again.

A friend and I picked Captain Eddie of Short Catch Charters from a list of fishing trips and we were incredibly pleased with his services. He knew where to take us, had lots of enthusiasm and a deep knowledge of the river & fishing in general. His special attention to two people who have not fished other than inland lakes in Minnesota and Wisconsin, was superb and would highly recommend him for your fishing excursion.

After having a planned trip canceled by another service due red tide in the area, we decided to give Capt. Eddie a call and see if he had the same response. After talking on the phone with the Capt. he suggested that if willing to make the drive from Bonita Springs South to Marco Island we would have a good chance at a few different species like Jack, Snook, Ladyfish, Redfish, Snapper, and Tarpon as it had seem to avoid the red tide. Capt. Eddie booked us last minute for the very next night, for a night trip. As we arrived at the dock Captain Eddie was there and ready, he help my friend and I board the boat. We started to head out to the fishing grounds, my friend and I were expecting to catch bait but the Capt. had two live wells stocked full of bait. As we headed out of the river we crossed under a very large bridge we encountered a half dozen dolphins as the sun was setting and our night was beginning. We headed out towards the mouth of Marco River Pass. We began fishing along a wall with a few docks and it was long before we started getting the bites. We caught a whole mess of Mangrove Snapper perfect for the table. After the sun set down the bite began to fade then Capt. Eddie suggested it was the time to move locations and target snook. We headed towards some docks with lights shinning in the water. After about 10 minutes we started to catch snook. Every cast was either a snook or ladyfish. Then thats when it happened! The drag started to zing and then the monster jumped and we saw it was a huge snook! After a good fight in out dock pilings my friend managed to bring it to the side of the boat as Capt. Eddie scooped it with the net. A 35" Snook! Not to long after that my fishing pole nearly came out of my hands, I set the hook and Tarpon went flying through the air! After another 6 great jumps and a tough fight I managed to landed the Tarpon. As I brought a MASSIVE Tarpon to the side of the boat with one last effort it swam down hard and broke the line but not before we snapped a photo along side of the boat. Captain Eddie estimated it at nearly 80 lbs! Now after a great fight and lot more jumps than the snook. We were ready for more, shortly after we put the lines back out we got a few more snook but not as large, then I hooked one more tarpon not as large but a great fight! Whats best is I landed this one and got a great selfi with the Captain. After such a great time a few more fish before we knew it the trip was over. We will definitely be giving Captain Eddie a call again next time we are back in town. Both my friend and I had a great time, the Captain was very friendly and knowledgeable about the fish when and where, the fishing gear provided was above average equipment, the boat was spacious and accommodating (it was 2 people plus the captain) but I think 3-4 people could fish on the boat. It was a great time all in all with lots of fish and laughs. Would DEFINITELY recommend booking a trip with Capt Eddie. Will give book again when back in town.

Just like most people on here, I spent days reading reviews and searching for just the right fishing charter for my family. It is a tough decision when you are looking at something like this because you want the best choice for your money and the safety of your family. With that being said, I would absolutely and without hesitation recommend Shore Catch Charters. Captain Eddie was friendly and professional from the first contact we had with him to the moment we stepped off his boat. He was quick to answer emails and kept us up to date on our reservation as needed. The day of the charter he was on time and ready to go. He not only made sure we caught fish but went out of his way to make sure our 17 year old caught a "big one". He taught us about the area and had wonderful info to share. We can easily say the morning we spent fishing with Shore Catch Charters was the highlight of our trip. I look forward to our next trip to fish with him again!

My husband and two sons (9 and 6) spent the morning fishing with Captain Eddie near Bonita Springs on May 16. Captain Eddie was great to work with before the trip (flexible, gave good advice about the best day/time to fish based on weather and tide), but even better during the trip. He knew the best spots for fishing, taught the kids a ton (about the fish, the area, technique), was super kind and patient, and gave us advice for making the best of the rest of our trip. Best of all he guided our 9 year old to catch “a slam” and was sure our 6 year old and dad had some good catches too. Our sons wanted to eat the fish they could legally keep and Captain Eddie cleaned and prepped them - which was the only way we could have made this happen. It was delicious!!! Any time we are back in FL we will plan to spend time fishing with Captain Eddie. This was the highlight of our great trip by far! Thanks Captain Eddie!!!
