My husband, dogs, and even company from out of town enjoy going to the dog beach. You have to prepare yourself to kind of rough it. There is not aways a big patch of sand to sit on, it definitely depends on the tide. Other than that, the water is usually very nice and great for the dogs to run... More

You can have a lot of fun with the Docs attractions and really good food just across the street at The Cafe. Everything is really convenient

Great place for your babies aka dogs only. Please don't forget to grab a few poop bags and share with your neighbor. This is a gift to pets to be able to bathe, run, and play with their likes.

The dog beach is such a peaceful and family-friendly environment for dogs and their owners. It is shallow enough to walk out far and play in the water and there is enough beach to set up camp. Highly recommended!

When you first pull in its a little nerve wrecking to be so close to all the traffic. But, you have to walk a good enough distance to get to the beach area. We live two hours away so don't get there too often. But, it's good doggie fun. Water is a little murky....but feel safe being far away from... More

This is a great spot for your dogs as the sand is white and the water calm. Thw secret is to go when the tide is low or going down as the beach can become very small with high tide. When the tide is low there is even a sandbar with in swimming or walking distance from the beach. There... More

Look after reading several of the other reviews, here's my take. The agree part is 1.) Check the tide, if you have a small dog or maybe not a good swimmer it's a good little jaunt before finding dry ground unless you kick it in the shrubs. 2.) Bring lots of fresh water for the hound. Ingesting the saltwater, your... More

While the dog beach is a great place to take your dog you have to realize that there are other dogs there as well. When we took our dog we had another dog owner that wasn't watching their dog and he was jumping on our dog even when we took our dog away the dog wouldn't leave her alone to... More

I wear my water shoes, I bring my small dogs who aren't afraid of water or big dogs and I enjoy every minute at dog beach. My dogs love the beach and meeting the other dogs and dog owners all along the waters edge and in the water too. It's so wonderful to be able to bring them here and... More

Our dog had a blast..he is small Boston terrier and the water ws the perfect height..he could go really far out and run in the water....there were mostly big dogs there but all were friendly and owners struck up conversation. ..one drawback...the tide comes in early lunchtime and it was quickly too deep for our dog...there are short walking trails...
