On Saturday October 28th, 2023, I went to the Farmer Mikes Haunted Corm Maze alone and I was very disappointed. It felt just as that, I was alone in the Corn Maze alone for over 85% of the experience. This experience had a lot of potential for being so long if there was an adequate amount of scare actors in it. I'm not sure if it being near the end of the night or what, but the scare actors I did see were sitting on the ground or just walking past me, not even attempting to scare anyone. The scare zones were empty and confusing. I noticed other paying customers hiding in the maze themselves to possibly scare other friends? I just don't feel that paying nearly $40 was worth this experience.

The Christmas event was very disappointing. The attractions were unsupervised, dangerous & cheap. A child and teen employee were injured within a 30 min span. The event was overpriced and decorations were lackluster at best.

We've come here in feb. And march for the past 3 years. We are always pleased with the assortment of upick produce available as well as items from the store. In the past couple weeks (mid march)we picked excellent strawberries, heirloom tomatoes and broccoli. We saw lots of peppers, fennel, onions, dill and amazing sunflowers were also available. The prices are slightly high. For us, it's well worth the experience of being out in nature and having the freshest produce possible.

Definitely not a “u pick” farm. There was nothing to pick. All sunflowers were either picked or dead. Very few pumpkins and nothing else. Absolutely not worth the fee or the time.

Thank you for your feedback, obviously this is your first time out with us. We do understand you probably aren't as well versed in agriculture as we are so we will take this as an opportunity to help educate you on south florida farming.
We are definitely a U-Pick farm providing U-Pick Flowers, U-Pick Tomatoes, & U-Pick strawberries typically starting around Thanksgiving through Easter. We also grow over 350 items here on our farm all of which is available in our farm stand throughout season. We specialize in Heirloom Tomatoes, Peppers, Squash, Melons, strawberries and yes FLOWERS. If you would like to try some of these items you should sign up for our annual CSA program and you will get fresh off the farm veggies all season and other incentives here on the farm.
Now for the educational part. Not much will grow in the summertime down in south florida due to the heat and humidity (Pollen goes steril in most vegetable plants over 95 degrees), hwoever we do, Unlike any other farm in our area grow a variety of items for our annual fall festival in October such as Sunflowers & Pumpkins. Also starting this week we will have our U-Pick tomato program starting YAAAA. This will be the earliest we have ever had them so that's very exciting for us. Please come back out in November and you will see what we are all about and I think you will be pleasantly surprised to see what we do here on the farm.
Thank you & Have a Great Day

Fun, fun, fun... open the last 2 Friday's and Saturday's in October... get there around 6:30 and get tickets early, once dark the wait can get to almost 2 hours. It's a fun time for the family, nothing much like it around here.

This farm has a nice produce stand and a little refreshment area. We picked strawberries at the end of this season....wonderful!!!!! Also picked REAL tomatoes that look and taste like tomatoes. So much of what the grocery stores sell are hot house. These are the real thing and they are delicious!!!!!!!!!!

Farmer Mike’s is just outside Citrus Park where we spend the winters and where we buy our veggies, strawberries and flowers.
Can’t keep my husband away from the fresh strawberry milk shakes. This year they had a steady business for their breakfasts and lunches. You can also buy a fresh cut Christmas tree.

Farmer Mikes is the only place I go to buy fresh, truly locally grown produce. Many "farmer's markets" have become little more than vendors selling the same products you can buy at the supermarket but this place is the real deal. You can see the fields and even pick your own fresh fruits and vegetables if you want to.
The people are very friendly and helpful and there's always an excellent variety of goods. In addition to their heirloom tomatoes (which actually taste like old-time tomatoes) they have multi-colored peppers, fresh picked broccoli and other things you simply won't find in stores. The best part is the prices- I can leave there with 4 huge bags of fruit and veggies for $30. Even if you could find this quality at the store it would be double the price.
If you're in the area I would highly recommend visiting Farmer Mikes.

Farmer Mikes is a great place to pick your own items from their open air store or pick your own from plentiful fields. It is a great place to have the kids help with the gathering of fresh strawberries. The great vegetables and fun times make it a great place to visit and buy.

I’ll be in the area 2/1-2/21 visiting my Mom who is in a Wheelchair. Will any produce be ripe for the picking at that time? Is is possible to push a wheelchair near the picking area? Mom doesn’t have to pick but would like to see while the caregiver and I fill a basket of fresh goodies. Thanks in advance for the advise. Happy New Year!

hi there,
are we able to pick our own fruit and if so is is by container or by the pound, and what would be available for picking in late january? thanks for the info.
Written November 9, 2019
I've never done the "U-Pick" but I know they offer tomatoes and strawberries for picking. Other produce is available for picking if you buy a "share" in the farm prior to planting season which has passed.
I believe the only fruit they grow is citrus and I've never heard of a "U-Pick" citrus farm- it would be too dangerous as commercial citrus trees are very tall and can have long, sharp thorns. In late January citrus is ripe and many people have fruit trees in their yards so I'm sure you can find someone to let you pick a little of their low-hanging fruit.
