Best day ever! Captains were wonderful and made all 13 ‘souls’ on the boat feel like friends. A family of dolphins danced in the wake of the boat motoring over to Useppa Island. There were 7 of us in our own family, ranging from 70 years to 7 months old. Once on the island, we were regaled with stories and explanations about the indigenous foliage and homes walking to lunch. Something for everyone on the interesting menu. Then a ‘must visit’ to the museum there which does an amazing job entertaining and educating about the history of the natives from well before Europeans came. On the way back the kids found 6 large tortoise wandering around. So much fun! The 7year old exclaimed as we returned that this was the best day of their whole vacation with memories for a lifetime. Indeed!

Boat Cruise to Useppa Island. This included a 45 minute boat ride from Boca Royals near the Gasparilla Hotel to Useppa Island. Lunch at the Useppa Inn, The Museum, Dolphin Watching and a photo op with about 100 Pelicans. The Boat Captain/Guides we’re friendly and knowledgeable. Wonderful Day Trip. I will do it again soon an next time opt for dinner cruise.

Boca Boat cruises is a professional handled cruise company. The captain and cruise director were both very good at their jobs...the captain had us all in awe reversing the boat into the slip. We enjoy the trip out to Useppa...on a beautiful day, can't be beat!! Lunch is great out there and the bonus is a dolphin show behind the boat. We know they can not promise to see them, however we have on every trip we have taken. Thanks for another great day Boca Boat Cruise!

Fantastic day cruise from Boca Grande Fla to Cabbage Key & Useppa Island. Great comments from captain Phil about local history of the islands and lots of Dolphins chasing the boat and jumping out of the water on the return trip. You will have choice of lunch at cabbage key or Useppa Island, recommend Useppa for lunch stop, nicer and less touristy

An amazing boat tour around Boca and Gasparilla. We saw dolphins almost within ‘almost’ touching distance from the back of the boat, they were jumping and surfing the wake. Incredible trip.
Jack was a great tour guide who gave information about the dolphins and birds and also about the local area and places of interest.
Lee the captain took us close to ‘Pelican’ island where the white pelicans migrate to from the North.
Highly recommend this trip, such a friendly crew and amazing experience with the dolphins especially.

We had a great cruise from Boca Grande to Cabbage Key, where we had dinner and a walk around the Key. The Captain and First Mate were top notch, professional and very courteous. Several pods of dolphins joined us at different times and thrilled us with dancing in our wake. It was magical, and we highly recommend Boca Boat Cruises!

Really disappointed. To preface, I called about my concerns prior to posting and after 24 hours of not hearing back, I’d like to share my experience. The boat was as described and the cruise itself was fine, if not a little boring. That being said, I’ve been on lots of short cruises like the afternoon one we took, and never had as rude of an interaction as I had this time. We got turned around and we’re absolutely 10 minutes late for our boarding, we could have missed the experience entirely (which probably would have been better), but the captain saw us when we walked out right after they departed and came back for us. Our initial gratitude turned awkward when the captain basically yelled at us for being late and didn’t introduce himself or welcome us in any way. Ok.. that’s fine.. and like I said, the cruise was ok. We went an hour one way and an hour back with brief instances of the captain saying facts about a few boca island staples, but what really sealed the poor experience was that when we were departing the boat, I took a step off the boat to get into my purse to leave the captain a tip and promptly had to hear the captain yell at me across the dock “thanks for the gratuity!” In the most condescending, sarcastic and abrupt manor. I was shocked. What started out as relief and gratitude that we were going to make the cruise we were late for turned into awkwardness and then embarrassment at being snubbed and then yelled at. Honestly, no response to my review could be appropriate except an apology. I clearly am admitting we were late for our reservation, but that is NO excuse to be treated so rudely. After calling about the experience on the cruise I was told “I have to get his side of the story” and “I’ll call you back”. No apology and still no call back. If you choose to use this group for a cruise, be aware that you may get a grumpy captain and a boring ride, but with the wealth of good reviews, I hope your experience is different than mine!

Thanks for your fabricated review. :) Iteresting how you are the only 2 people with such an experience on Boca Boat Cruises. You were 15 minutes late and the captain had to return to pick you up at the inconvience of other guests on the cruise. You were rude to the captain and guests on the trip. You contacted the office upon your retrun to extort a free trip or threaten to post a bad review....Kindly take your business elswhere.

Had a really great trip to Useppa Island over the Holidays. Very interesting place quaint and quiet. Very cool. The guys on the boat we super nice, really friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Had a great trip and saw a family of dolphins swimming in our wake for about 10 mins straight. Highly recommend this trip!!

On Friday night, we did the late afternoon cruise from 4 to 6 around Gasparilla Island. Captain Lee was fabulous!! On Saturday we did the lunchtime cruise from 10:30 to 2:30 to Useppa. It’s a gorgeous island and we had a really nice lunch. Captain Lee and his first mate, Jack, were wonderful tour guides. It was a beautiful day and a nice boat. There was a shaded area for me and a sunny area where my husband wanted to sit. Highly recommend both cruises!! Lindsey Miller and Mark Campisano.

We had an excellent time on the lunch cruise to Useppa Island. The captain and mate were informative and entertaining. There were 13 on the boat, which I would say is maximum. We were followed by a dozen dolphins on the way home which was fantastic (though perhaps unusual to have that many at one time). Recommend!

Hello Kathleen W., General Manager at Boca Boat Cruises.... Now that we're into 2020, are you starting to "take names" (or take paid reservations in advance) for boat trips to either Useppa Island or Cabbage Key on Monday February 10, 2020? I want to make sure to firmly reserve something for two on that specific date if I may.... for my daughter and myself... looking forward to hearing from you about this! The answer is yes but they have a cooler on board so you can bring cold drinks and put them in their cooler. We also brought appetizers!
