Greenbank has heritage sheep, a great location, and a bit of history. Particularly look for their special events, like sheep shearing, and let the kids see how people made cloth and dyed it from their gardens, not so long ago. Fun when the steam train goes by.

This simple open area park is perfect for families with children . Good place to stroll and bike. Baseball field. Not a destination for people from outside the area.

I worked for Girl Scout of the Chesapeake Bay and was always looking for a place to visit that was interesting, not too expensive and would lend itself to earning badges. The Greenbank farm fills every ticket. The Revolutionary period farm features sheep (their specialty) and other farm yard friends. The stone houses and outbuildings were the actual buildings of the era, though some were reconstructed. A tour of the grounds by docents dressed in period clothing made the history of the place come alive for the girls. There were activities in one of the buildings that helped us fulfill a history badge. The girls talked about the sheep and geese all the way home. The Farm is situated near Prices Corner shopping center, off Greenbank Road and Kirkwood Highway. Plenty of parking and no long walks to each visiting site. A real pleasure on a lovely summer day, pretending we were back in the 1770's!

This little mill is nearly hidden in plain view. They have nice programs and the place has a long and storied history.

Four outside Pickleball courts on an existing Tennis court (court No. 4). These courts have lights, so you can play at night. The park is right off of Greenbank Road in between Kirkwood Hwy (Hwy 2) and Newport Gap Pike (Hwy 41). The facility has shaded parking and portable restrooms. The three other tennis courts along with the shared pickleball/tennis court are on a first-come first serve basis.
