The Christmas performance was Excellent. The cast were professional, the music, costumes, everything was very tastefully done. We thoroughly enjoyed the nice variety of food offered. Would not hesitate to recommend for a inspiring Holiday experience.

With three others we attended Guys and Dolls. The acting, singing, dancing, and whole production were outstanding. The bonus for us was an above average food buffet with the shrimp,Chicken Cordon Blu and all deserts being memorably good. One often had to wait some time in the entree line. We had handicap parking that left us right at the front entrance but we had to be early to get the best place. It is hard to believe one can get such a rewarding evening at such a reasonable price.

We've been to two shows here, Hairspray and Guys and Dolls. The quality of the shows is excellent. The actors/actresses are quite talented, set design for a small theater is well done, and the seating allows for a good view. However, on our most recent visit, we were seated directly under a huge overhead fan that blew cold air directly on our table the entire night. Every time we asked if someone could turn the overhead fans off, we were told a different story - we're working on it, they're on a system, etc. - until someone finally leveled with us and said they couldn't be turned off due to the heat of the lights on the stage. However, the fans weren't above the stage. They were above the diners. Coupled with the fact that it was about 18 degrees outside, this didn't make for a very good evening. We tried to move out of the direct blast, but that didn't help. In addition, the coffee and tea were barely warm. Leaving several coffee and hot water urns by the dessert station would help keep these beverages hot. I hope the New Candlelight Theatre can find a way to direct the fans at the stage rather than at the customers.

We take a senior group here every year and are never disappointed. The show is always top notch and the food is very good and very plentiful. We love that our servers are the stars of the show. This theatre is definitely great for a family treat with the right show for sure. Or a friends night out...such a treat. Dennis in the office is the best!

I was trying to plan entertainment for out of town guests who love theater. I spent much to much time on the website that uses much of it's space telling you how wonderful theater is but gives no info on it's own calendar of event , Click calendar and you get blurbs on past show, Click buy tickets and you get the same thing . If no plan is in place,
just say so. Theater is wonderful and yours may be but how could a potential audience find out with a physic moment.

My wife and I and some friends attend almost every show they put on here each year. I never stopped being amazed at the quality of the shows they put on. The perform way above the standard for tiny Delaware dinner theater. Keep up the great work everyone!

We saw Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and were very impressed with the acting. All three leads were very strong...good acting and voices. The ensemble did a great job as well. Dinner was very good and had a great variety of tasty dishes. It was our first visit and will not be our last!

We recently celebrated Our Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary at the Candlight. The buffet was wonderful. The peel and eat shrimp at the salad bar were jumbo and very delicious. Selection of entrees and desserts were outstanding. The actor and actresses were the servers. They were courteous, outgoing and very efficient. The show was Funny Girl. The actress who played Fannie had an outstanding voice, very powerful. All the singing, dancing and acting were superior. We highly recommend checking out the dinner theater. It is a real bargain at $60.

I used to like going to the theater here, but the last two times I have been underwhelmed. The buffet was average, although the ribs and shrimp were excellent. When we were finally offered coffee, it was served lukewarm. Service, removing used plates, was sketchy. After the Newspaper reviews, I expected Funny Girl to be much better. Several of the actors seemed to yell the whole night and it was loud. Aside from a few outstanding songs, the show was a bust for me. Glad when it was over. It will be a long time before I return.
