The park is a wonderful park. It was a duPont family estate and has wonderful walking trails, horse riding, picnic areas and a running track with exercise stations.

State park with admission fee or yearly pass. Large wooded land - great for hiking on trails, bird watching, or wildlife scouting. Walk down hill far enough and you'll get to the Brandywine river for fishing. Also has a seasonal trout stream at the entrance....More

We live right down the road from here and this is our go to place for a walk. Always nice to see birds, squirrels and some times rabbits, horses and dogs. Watching the river flow by is very relaxing.

Not far from downtown Wilmington this state park is a beautiful place to explore. There are rolling hills with plenty of woodlands and open meadows with plenty of walking trails in each terrain to meander.

Creeks but nothing to swim or boat in. Nearby Brandywine is better for that. You can tube or canoe that body of water.
