It is small and clean.

It is something to do if you haven't been there yet and want to experience everything in Wilmington.

This is a very small zoo but nice. The gardens across from the zoo make it an overall good morning or afternoon trip.

Yes, it is small, VERY SMALL. If I say it takes less then an hour to walk through, it's the truth. But don't look at as being small, look at from the view that you are there with your children and to have a good time. You are there with your wife or husband, boyfriend or girlfriend or just friends... More

We read the TripAdvisor reviews before going. One reviewer said it was more like being in someone's back yard. We chuckled but s/he was right! We appreciate that the effort is there to ensure these animals are taken care of, but this is more of a zoo to introduce young children to (semi) wildlife, I think. The best animal for... More

Great little place and when I say little I mean it, it's tiny. If I were to guess I'd say the distance from one end of the zoo to the other is maybe a quarter mile. That being said if you are in Wilmington or passing through its worth the stop. Entrance fee is only 5 dollars and for that... More

Wasn't sure what to expect with a 'small zoo,' but I have to say the experience was phenomenal. Perfect for a family with young children (as we have). Enough exhibits to keep them fascinated and wanting more, but not so large or crowded as to be overwhelming. A surprising selection (my son loved the pygmy goats best), including a tiger... More

This was an exceptionally inexpensive activity! It's a small zoo but doesn't lack in exotic animals, informed staff and overall fun! I was able to make my way through the zoo in a timely manner. I appreciated the educational signs and fast facts. I would come here again!

First let me start by saying in terms of location, Brandywine Zoo is situated in a beautiful area. Getting there was simple and the signage was adequate. There was ample parking and to my relief - at no charge. There are signs directing you where to walk from the lot and the area between the parking lot and the zoo... More

This place is more of an animal exhibition of someone's private collection than a Zoo. If you stand in the right place you can see the entire "Zoo" from one end to the other so...yep..." The Minuscule Animal Exhibition of Brandywine" is a more appropriate name. Despite its size the "Zoo" has two rather astonishing creatures; a tiger and a... More

Met up w/ daughter's family (the 2 of them, infant & 3 yr old). At my suggestion they had driven anhour, and we had driven a half hour, to get there. It was nice weather, so just being together and outdoors was nice, but none of us will make the effort to return. Just too small an experience for the... More
