Minor league baseball up close and personnal. Not a bad seat in the house. Many things for young ones to be entertained with if too young for the game. Many themed nights thru-out the season to participate in - star wars,70's,80's,ethnic nights, etc. Regular fire work nights provide a respectful display that lasts 15-25 minutes starting after the game. Free parking. Restuarants and bars across the street. And you gotta love "celery man" after home team scores.

Home to the Blue Rocks minor league baseball team has a hometown feel. Many activities for the family between innings. The food vendors are on the moderate side pricewise. And at the end of the game they had a massive fireworks display.

Great stadium and plenty of choices for those more interested in food rather than baseball!!! Restrooms are clean and all the employees are cheerful and very helpful!!! Only complaint the netting behind home plate is too short a real safety concern!!! Watch out for foul balls!!!!

We have been to the Blue Rocks games at Frawley Stadium a few times now. We have gone mostly when we have been given free tickets. Last time we went we had free tickets and free meal vouchers so it didn't cost us a penny. We were seated in field box seats or box seats previously. We enjoyed it.

This time our kids got free tickets as part of their library summer reading program rewards. We ended up with general admission tickets and food was NOT included. We were just excited to take the kids to their first game & it didn't cost us anything for the tickets! So, we set out for a fun night at the ballpark.

General admission seating location was not bad. Yes, it is a little higher up than the box seats, but this stadium is small, so it is not that big of a deal. The only problem I had with general admission seating was the actual people sitting there. We had a sick kid next to us who kept sneezing and not covering his mouth. We finally moved down a few rows to some empty seats and an old lady yelled at us that her 6 grandkids were sitting there (yet there was no way of knowing as it was just empty seats). Hello, it is general admission! There are NO assigned seats. It is bleacher seating. Oh well. So, we moved again.

The food options seem to have grown. They still have the standard peanuts, cracker jacks, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken tenders, Botto's Italian sausage, corndogs, nachos, ice cream, cotton candy and fries. Prices are kind of HIGH. A 3 piece chicken tender with some fries is $7.75. A hot dog is $3. Our food was OK this time. I think it was better last season. My fries were cold, but the chicken tenders were smokin' hot! This season, they added a grilled cheese stand, which was actually the most attractive food option to me and the most reasonably priced too! A regular grilled cheese with chips was $5. They had other grilled cheeses too in addition to the classic. They also had a crabmeat, Italian and tomato version. Chickie's & Pete's has a food stand on location with crab fries, cheesesteaks, chicken tenders and etc. Prices were high there too. I think a chicken cheesesteak was around $11. There is a funnel cake stand, popcorn stand, soft pretzel stand and ice cream similar to dippin dots too. This year I noticed that the snack bars feature food from the Greene Turtle now in addition to the hot dogs and burgers. They now offer bacon cheeseburgers, boneless wings, chick n' ranch sandwiches, fried pickle spears and veggie burgers under the Greene Turtle name. These options were NOT cheap either! A bacon cheeseburger was $11.50, wings were $8, chicken sandwich $10.75 and the veggie burger $9.50.

They have an inflatables zone with a small kids bounce house and t-ball. Not sure IF there is a fee as I did not see any signage. There are also a couple of picnic zones at 1st base and 3rd base. I assumed you could sit here and eat your food from the concession stands, as they were not roped off or anything. I believe you can reserve the picnic area IF you want to.

Between innings they will have contests with prizes and some giveaways (t-shirts, grotto pizza). They also have some little stunts that involve little kids coming down onto the field. They announce birthdays IF you want them to. This year we also noticed them sending around people with duffle bags full of souvenirs (balls, foam antlers, foam hands, etc) trying to sell them to you at your seat. They do have a gift shop on location too IF you miss the souvenir hawkers.

Overall, we had a good time. We do love the family friendly atmosphere at the Blue Rocks games at Frawley stadium. Games last about 2.5 hours from first pitch to end. Stadium opens 1 hour before game. We love that the mascot comes around and takes photos with the fans. We enjoyed the box seats ALOT more than the general admission seats since we did not have to fight with people about where we were sitting. General admission is OK IF you don't might dealing with rude people. I would personally pay for the upgraded ticket IF I was buying it. Food is average, prices for food is HIGH. I might eat before the game next time. However, some food comes in souvenir bowls, so that is always attractive to the little kids. You can imagine that your evening can get expensive real quick by the time you add up the cost of tickets, food, drinks, snacks and souvenirs.

Note: Parking is FREE. IF game is rained out by the 5th inning, you can exchange your ticket for a future game within 1 year. Elevator on location for those who need it, otherwise the entrance is a zig-zagging ramp.

Tip: Two-riffic Tuesdays all season long in 2015: home game, get 2 tickets, 2 hot dogs and 2 sodas for just $22

Nice stadium for local high A minor league Kansas City franchise. Blue Rock won the high A championship this year. There is always something going on, food is decent. Lighting could be better, and seats are ok. Atmosphere is great, fun night for baseball

I've been to a few games here... just went at the end of August with my husband and 2 and a half year old. It is very easy to get to, parking is simple and a short walk to the stadium. We went without a stroller this time.... but last year, we brought it. The entrance is all ramp so that was easy. You could park the stroller at the top, but you would just carry all your stuff with you (bags). Overall, it's just a nice low-key opportunity for the family to see some ball. It can get a bit crowded walking around for food, drink etc. Just send one person out to pick everything up! We will be back.

Nice ballpark - good concessions, clean bathrooms, reasonable souvenir prices. Seats are relatively cheap. Lots of free parking. Easy access from I95. Definitely a good value for a fun afternoon/evening of minor league baseball. One con: No gluten-free pizza at Grotto's.

We love baseball, especially minor league baseball so we like too if possible take in a game while on vacation. Frawley Stadium itself is your typical nice minor league venue. The crowd seemed a little reserved and we didn't care for the stadium location. Looking out over the field your view consists beyond the outfield wall of a portion of elevated interstate 95 and its' constant flow of traffic. The constant hum of car and trucks made listening to the in stadium speakers difficult at times. With only one road in and out of the ballpark and malfunctioning traffic lights after the game the ride back to the hotel was very slow and backed up. Comapred to other minor league parks we've visited I'd rate the food selections below average.
