A place where you can sit quietly by XIV century ruins, enjoying the views of Alps Valtellina. Apparently one of the very few castle geminis still existing. Don't rush when you finally reach the hilltop, take plenty of time to wander around.

Great views of the Valtellina

If you are into castles then you will enjoy these ruins. You really get an idea of what and why these castles and watch towers were used for. You get a really good sense of the necessity of the positioning of the castles. This is a good place to picnic in the spring, summer or fall. The views are outstanding. There is a restaurant here but it was closed when we went - it closes like 14 - 17. Well worth the hike. Enjoy.

A beautiful outlook over the entire valley of Vineyards

This valley is immersed in traditions and histories and this was there protecting it all. From the Castello you will see nothing but grapevines and snow capped mountains.

Charming Atmosphere with outstanding food.

On a recent driving holiday in Northern Italy, as lunch approached, my wife took out the smartphone went on TripAdvisor and started to hunt for an interesting place to eat. This lovely establishment was nearby. What a find! The best meal I have had in several years. An antipasti of four types of Bresaola, including venison was followed by pappardelle with a venison sauce. These led us to the best steak I have had in years. Fresh sweet grapes picked from the vines on the terrace (lovely) along with fresh raspberries finished the meal. Of course there then was espresso and a herb infused grappa to finish the meal. This all made the more pleasant by the warm and friendly service. If you are in the region, this establishment is worth the detour.

Very nice place with great scenery over the wine terraces, the alps and the valley of Valtellina. Plan to spend one hour in this site.
