My husband grew up going to the Delaware beaches to visit family, and he has visited Puzzles/Lewes Gourmet since he was a kid. These stores are simply FUN - they have unique products that you'll have a hard time finding online, and the atmosphere is super relaxed and welcoming (it's a family-owned business, and the owners put a great deal of effort and care into the product selection). The gourmet foods section has so many different and interesting products from Europe and elsewhere...teas that are less commonly available in the US, jams, cookies/biscuits, scone mixes (several products for people with special diets too, like gluten-free), just to name a few. We look forward to visiting this store every summer - it is a community institution in Lewes and has given families like ours tons of fun memories!

Anyone missing the great UK or wanting discover classic British fare should head to this little store in Lewes. Having just been home, everything that I had packed into my bags was on the shelves and more. Ever having a craving for a Curly Wurly, you know where to go!

Although there are a few extra things, sauces and dips, that can be thrown together, this is a really a place for ENGLISH foods.
Cookies, candies, teas, soda things you can usually only find on line or specialty shops, rarely in your own supermarket.
There are also Scottish and Irish tea cups. tea pots and all manner of such things as well as platters and tea towels liberally dotted with local crab images.
It is attached to a 'puzzle shop' which has a separate entrance where you can pick up big puzzles or even little toys to occupy children at the beach.
In the happy, friendly town of Lewes this little spot will give you some wonderful snacks.

Who would have thought. Combine a unique gourmet food shop with an entertaining puzzle shop and you have Lewes Gourmet. They offer a wide variety of specialty food items featuring snacks,cookies, biscuits, jams, jellies, dips, teas and coffees Cold drinks are also available. However, the other side of the store features puzzles galore. Every type of puzzle is available for purchase. For all, puzzles ranging from 100 pieces up to 2000 pieces that will challenge even the best puzzle master. Every type of topic is available. Mind bender puzzles and games are also available for purchase as are newly added adult coloring books. A rather entertaining little store on the Lewes harbor waterfront.
