Lewes Beach is a great place to visit any season. Due to it's location on the inner portion of the cape and breakwater, the surf is usually very gentle and calm. The beach is clean and well kept, and there are great views across the Delaware Bay and you can watch the large container ships entering and exiting the river.... More

Glorious weather in the low 80's encouraged us to wander along this clean wide beach and feel the Atlantic Ocean on our feet. Quite wonderful! Lots of facilities (Comfort Rooms!) and easy access to shoreline restaurants as and when needed. Beautiful.

This is the best beach I have ever been to because there is a sandbar connected to the beach so you can play in the water without being knocked over by the waves. We had a 2 and 4 year old in the water and they loved it. You can walk out 30 feet from the shoreline and the water... More

We walked to the beach from the historic area. Pleasant walk and a clean quite beach on the bay. Probably great for little ones-- no waves!!

Decided to shoot over after enjoying our lunch in town at the Buttery. Beach is large but appeared dirty. Now I know this is the off season and I'm sure it's very pretty in summer. Comparable to our Jersey shore

Small beach. Mediocre sand. Ok admit that I am very spoiled? When it comes to beaches I've been to many of the best. Not as scenic or fun as nearby Rehoboth. For a stunning beach I'd rather be at Cape Henlopen State Park.

We parked in the lot. One persone carried stuff to beach and accidently carried the wallet. Other woman had to go find me on the beach and before she got back there was a parking ticket, elasped time 6 min. Then she asked how long the ticket was good for and the parking attendent said 2 hours. Went back with... More

Beautiful and quiet beach. Also, I was very lucky that I didn't have to pay for parking since it was off season.

A spacious beach with little wave action making it safe for young children. Clean toilets and showers nearby with outside showers to wash away the sand.

I love this quaint little town ! It is a gem compared to the hustle and bustle of rehoboth . There are several excellent restaurants and a fresh juice bar which is just up my alley . I happen to be vegan and it was easy to have excellent food . It's not far to henlopen park where I ran... More
