You can see the cannonball stuck in the building from the outside. Much of the story is available on placards around the building. It has a traditional garden from its revolutionary past.

Was here back in May of 2014 (not November, but it does not let me go back any further in time)....this place has a mark on the front of it where it was struck by a British cannonball fired during the War of 1812. Contains a great museum of the local history. Very much enjoyed our visit.

You'll really enjoy it. It is right in the historical town of Lewes, Delaware, so you can fit it in with your shopping and dining trip. It doesn't take much time, is free, and is very interesting. Great for kids of ANY age; it is brief, yet informative enough for one to learn a lot about Lewes' beginning. There are... More

There is nothing except the historic spot. It is an interesting place to visit, It is part of the self-guided tour of the city of Lewes or just to walk to it and see it.

This was a compact yet thorough overview of the history of the town. It was a great intro, which led us to explore other historical properties during our walks! The docent on duty was especially helpful in sharing information and answering questions.

We visited the Cannonball House on October 17th and were greeted by a very informative docent who explained about the Cannonball House and some of the history of Lewes. We toured the house and found the exhibits about the Lewes menhaden fishing industry and the bay pilots to be very informative. The docent was very willing to answer questions not... More

For such a small, little house the displays do a great job of giving visitors a bit of information about the beginnings of Lewes, it's menhaden fishing industry and the current status of things in town. Don't miss it.
