This was a great way to get from Cape May to Lewes, DE with our car! The boat was clean and well kept. The captain even pointed out a dolphin swimming during our trip!

Majestic views of Lewes,DE and Cape May,Nj make this experience worthwhile. You can take your car or enjoy the ride as a foot passenger. The views are outstanding and you never know if you'll see dolphins or even a whale out there in the bay. The ferry is clean and offers food and drinks for everyone. It is a family... More

Took the ferry at the beginning of the month with car and child in tow. It took about an hour and a half. Fast loading and unloading of cars, and very organized. I prebooked and paid online. You need your ticket confirmation and drivers license when arriving at the ticket booth. We had a quick bite in the snack area.... More

The Cape May-Lewes Ferry is my favorite way to travel to Delaware. I look forward to it every summer and autumn, and have never been disappointed. The staff are as pleasant and helpful as can be, and the boats are clean, spacious, well supplied -- and expertly Captained. I recommend this method of travel any time you have the chance.... More

Thank you for riding with us every summer and autumn, CarolsPearls! It it odd for people who haven't experienced the ride, to see"calm" and "adventure" as equally relevant descriptors, but it is so accurate! See you again soon :). Best, Chelsea Cape May Lewes Ferry Team More

This is a very commodious ferry, with every amenity from a gift shop, snack bar, alcoholic drinks, free wifi, and comfy seats. Our trip was very smooth, so I can't comment on stability, but loading and unloading were efficient and relatively quick.

Thank you for riding with us and for your review, BarbFVA! It sounds like you had an easy trip. Generally speaking, the ferry trip is relatively stable, although the ride can get a bit rocky in strong weather/storm conditions. Hope you can join us again soon! I've traveled on the ferry a couple of times this summer and each time has been wonderful. If you're taking the car on board, I'd recommend to get there early...they load first in/first out. If you're a foot passenger, just make sure you're through security before they raise the gang plank! There is a full restaurant/bar on both sides. The... More

Hi Allentowntoboston, Thank you for riding with us and for your review. It is a good idea to get the the ferry early -- especially in the summer months -- although we do not always load cars first in/first out. Loading order is dictated by a variety of variables like number of vehicles, sizes, the ferry boat, etc. We hope... More
