Flying in the B-25 Panchito was truly an unforgettable experience. Bill, who helped me organize this gift for my husband was amazing, and made everything he could to accommodate us. Every crew member was beyond nice and made sure we had a great experience. They are all volunteers who are passionate about aviation, and they spent time to tell us about the aircraft, the association and any thing we asked about. The gift was for my husband who is an aviation fan, he loved it. I loved it too and I’m so glad I took a ride as well. The aircraft is a piece of history and it’s genuinely a fabulous experience. We highly recommend it for any one looking for a unique flying experience!!

I've recently had the opportunity to spend time with the folks at the Delaware Aviation Museum Foundation (DAMF). It's a terrific experience !! To begin with, they are PASSIONATE, and I mean all out passionate about historic aviation and love sharing that with visitors! Panchito, their WWII, B-25 Medium Bomber is a living, breathing piece of American history. The best part is the public can fly in Panchito and experience what it feels, sounds and smelled like in a REAL, flying, WWII Bomber. It's an experience as rare as the aircraft itself. Additionally, DAMF offers the opportunity to receive instruction and actually fly Panchito! YOU can earn your FAA Second In Command (Co-Pilot) rating in the aircraft under the watchful eye of their team of instructors. The courses include both ground and flight instruction, are over the top fun, and will be a highlight of your flying to be rememberd for the rest of your life. The instructors, Sabrina Kipp, Syd Jones, Larry Kelly, and Paul Newer are professional, safety driven and FUN. I can't thank them enough. If you're thinking of taking a flight, or a course in PANCHITO... Don't wait, just do it!!

The “Panchito” is not an aircraft, it’s a time machine. This was my latest flight on a fourth type of warbird, and it was impossible not to imagine the women who flew these machines to the coasts and the men who brought their payloads to the enemy so many years ago. As a STEM teacher in engineering and robotics, I appreciated having Sabrina at the yoke to share further encouragement for my female students to keep reaching higher-literally! The best endorsement on the quality of Panchito’s restoration was the awestruck rush of F series modern jet pilots performing in the airshow. Shedding the cool demeanor of highly trained tactical pilots, they crossed the tarmac as soon as we landed to examine every curve and weapons delivery system on the plane like excited teenagers at a car show admiring the most classic of hot rods in the parking lot-it was fun to watch. Again, the Delaware Aviation Museum has lovingly restored an incredible piece of engineering for us to enjoy as a time machine! I can’t wait to see them again or get up to the museum!

So going up in a WW2 bomber has been on my bucketlist for as long as I can remember. The whole experience from the time waiting for the flight and enjoying my own personal airshow of practicing Thunderbirds, random F22's parking nearby and an F4U Corsair parking right next door made this an awesome amalgam of the high tech modern with the handbuilt past. Truly a wonderful experience and I hope everyone can have something like this in their lives.

The DAMF opportunity for a B-25 SIC Type Rating, is as unique and rare in aviation, as it is incredible. I had so much fun! A primary reason the experience was so enjoyable is simple ... it's the people. To be welcomed so warmly, with kindness and genuine shared friendship, DAMF is indeed a very special aviation family. Whether a Living History flight experience or pilot training, DAMF folks share their inspiring enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for aviation history. Highly recommend a remarkable and fun adventure aboard Panchito, Spot, or Bird Dog. Thanks to Larry, Christina, Bill, Jim, Sabrina, Syd, Calvin, Paul, and everyone at DAMF.
