This is an historic landmark significant to the history of Delaware, but it is regular house on the lake. Great place for the tour and photo ops. If you need a tour, it must be requested in advanced. Good place for photos.

This is an interesting historical home in its own right, and it was surprisingly intimate for a Governor's Mansion tour (no security outside, just walk up to the front door and let yourself in!). It's much smaller than other historic Governor's Mansions I've been to...More

We went through some rigmarole in order to tour the Delaware Governor's Mansion while visiting Dover Delaware. Went there the second day after we arrived Dover and met by a rude policeman at the gate. He asked "what are you doing here"? I responded "...More

We visited on one day before Christmas. The holiday decorations and tour of the first floor were well done. We would recommend it to everyone!

We have been here twice when it was open for tours - summer & Christmas week. House & grounds are very nice, as are the history guides. (Tours are free.) It's wonderful that Woodburn is open for tours, as it is used by the Governor...More

These two historical houses are next to each other, and each offer and unique experience for those who have not had an opportunity to visit the Governor's House (Woodburn) and/or the Guest House (Hall House). Architecturally, both are simply stunning. The interior rooms of each...More
