Great FREE museum located at Dover Air Force Base. The most interesting plane on exhibit is a retired Air Force 2. However, the plane has very limited opportunities to see the plane on the inside. (depends on the availability of volunteers) I'd rather see a nominal entrance fee charged to allow for more planes to be opened up to see... More

We enjoyed seeing the different airplanes that were used in wars got by. Some where airplanes like my dad would have worked on as a aircraft mechanic . Great for kids because some plane we were able to go through. You'll enjoy and it is free. But I am sure you will want to leave a donation at the end.

Indoor exhibits, as well as outdoor planes. With a guide you are able to use interactive displays and tour interior of many of the planes. Recommend going early in day so you have plenty of time to see everything. Museum closes at 4pm. There is no charge for admission but donations are appreciated. Great place for all ages.

Wonderful museum, many planes to walk through and check out. Got to show my children a C130 like the one I used to jump from in the Army!

This is a fantastic museum with lots of great aircraft. We had a super guide, who told us a lot about the planes inside. Especially the story behind the WWII planes was really interesing to listen to and we all learnd a lot! The gift shop at the entrance/exit has something for everyone. I can defenitely recommend the museum, no... More

Replicas of military equipment and paraphanalia from WW1 and WW2..You can take a tour and "land" a WW2 plane in the flight simulator. Gift shop is over priced but it is very interesting if you are a war or history buff. You can walk among several planes that are de commissioned outside...Museum is free.

This spot has a little of everything: great airplanes, hall of heroes, interesting facts, hidden gems, kids fun, simulators, etc. Just off Hwy 1 south of Dover Air Force Base, it brings the history of the base and airlift to life. Almost every airplane is open and available to tour. The guides are friendly and knowledgeable. The best part is... More

In only thirty years the Air Mobility Command Museum has gone from an outdated, unused hangar with the remains of planes the experts said were junk to one of the finest aviation museums in the world. They have a collection of aircraft that run from a C47 that carried airborne troops on D-day to a C5-A that launched an ICBM... More
