This is a nice park to walk in. The area I was in had two bridges crossing the creek, making it possible to walk a complete loop. The views of the creek and lake from these bridges is fantastic. The one bridge however is very narrow and you have to move to the side if someone comes. There's grills for picnics in in a playground too. Just a word of caution, a lot of people fish in the creek, including from the bridges. Make sure to keep alert when they cast their line.

Silver Lake recreation park is a lovely, inviting, relaxing place right in the heart of Dover. It's perfect for a picnic or just to sit in the shade and read a book while watching the ducks, herons, etc.

Need to get out in nature while in Dover. Silver Lake Park is a good place to go. The walk can take you through a park with playground that sets on Silver Lake, over a damn and down along the headwater of the Saint Jones River on walking paths that lead over to Loockerman Street at Mirror Pond. See great blue herons, geese and ducks. Some families take bags of bread to feed the ducks near the damn. They love it.

Decent playground. All and all, the park is much more than that. Plenty of places to walk, with a pseudo beach on the lakefront and connecting dam/stream. The area also has two shelters for picnics with grills. Fair warning, it's in the middle of town and seems to attract homeless folks, but I've never had an issue. I recommend going with others for safety, just in case.

One of our favorite Dover parks, great for fishing and walking. Two separate parking areas and a "beach" although I would not swim in the lake, kids could still play in the sand. Within walking distance to downtown Dover.

It got plenty of parking spots on both sides. It got sidewalks and bridges to walk or ride a bike. It does get flooded after long periods of rain. I love the water fall. It does have a playground for the kids. It have grills and picnic tables but some of them are broken. It does have portal potties.

This is a lake where people can fish, but no boating. You can stroll through the woods on one side & through & old cemetery. To the other side is a small but nice playground (swings & a big climbing structure w/ slides). It has some picnic tables & bbq grills & shelters. We saw 15 turtles as we walked across the small dam to the creek, & interesting birds. Take a bag & pick up some trash - there are trash cans all over but evidently paid tidying is not frequent. Not a flashy or big park, but calm & pleasant. Despite Internet reviews about homeless folks all over it, we saw none. Just a few folks walking or fishing in the middle of a summer weekday. The Countrie Eatery is nearby & very tasty, with its own parking lot, on one end of Silver Lake.

I take walks here often. throughout the seasons the scenery is always a welcome respite from our busy lives. Lots of ducks in the waterways and fisherman. Wide walkways and plenty of shade or open space.
