George is a gem! My wife and I had our first stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) experience, and were ushered into the waters by the very friendly, very knowledgable George of Delmarva Board Sports. My wife was quite apprehensive at first, and hasn't the best balance nor confidence on the water, but George brought plenty of calm and care to the learning process. At the end we might have taken a dip or two, due to our own bit of nerves, but after that we were golden for the next 45min. Conversation and exploration went swimmingly. It's also well worth mentioning that when George peered at the weather forecast and wind report, he notified us well before our meet up time, to suggest that we change our meet-up location to their alternate dock on the river in Milton. This way we could avoid being knocked about and cast to the see every 2 minutes, as winds on the seas are quite a different animal than those betwixt the trees on the river. We were grateful for that quick decision, as it allowed us novices to stay upright and enjoy ourselves. This was well worth it!

My 9 year old and I rented a kayak for two. So much fun! We didn’t go far but had a blast looking at big houses, sea birds, oysters, a grey heron and an eagle’s nest. The tide was low so afterward we played on beach for a few minutes catching tiny fish in our hands and releasing them. The staff were very friendly and the on line forms made the process easy. Will definitely go again soon!

We were very excited about renting kayaks! We received an email about where to go in terms of them being near the hotel, but did not read it as well as we should have. Our fault.. But you park right next to their stand, so I really don't see why you should have to pay extra money to park in a spot that really should be included in the rent of the boards. So my sister and I showed up (we're in our 30s) with our two small/medium dogs. The woman behind the counter was so rude. She honestly ruined the entire experience for us. We were a little late due to the parking situation, but we did call to let them know. She was rude about that, rude about the life vests too. My sister is tiny and she asked for a kids life vest and she was told there would be an extra charge for that. ?!?! Then, I asked for an extra life vest for my small dog to sit on so she didn't get wet and I was RUDELY (again) informed that I would need to pay $5 extra because there were a lot of people scheduled and they would need the vests. Well I did not pay the extra... I felt bad for the team working with her. They were all so kind and you could tell she must be very hard to work with. The younger guy took my sister and I out to the kayaks and was very kind and even helped push us on out with our pups. We felt nervous the entire time about being charged extra for things, so we ended up only staying out until our original time which was about 40 minutes later. She really unhinged us and ruined our paddling.... so we came back and low and behold, there were just as many life vests there as when we left. Not sure why she would have needed to charge us extra for the oh so many people that were coming, when they were all still there.. but whatever. If it weren't for the kind kids that worked there, I would say avoid at all cost, but because of them, this has two stars instead of 0 which is what I would have given that rude woman. Seriously.. customer service people.. we weren't asking for much.

Hi Snojewl, We remember your party vividly! I'm sorry our very detailed email confirmation with clear parking instructions was not reviewed by your party. Your party arrived late (20 minutes late as you are to arrive 15 minutes early) and from our perspective, your group was stressed out to the max upon arrival because you were late. Our confirmation has clear instructions that we are in a PARKMOBILE location and it suggests to download and configure the APP before arrival. These instructions are clearly noted on our website too. If you're late, your time must be cut short as we have other reservations behind you for our equipment and it wouldn't be fair to them. All beach towns charge for parking. It's how beach towns generate revenue to pay all the public services required for the huge influx of visitors (emergency services, water, sewage, beach replenishment, etc). We are pet friendly, but you expected us to provide 2 additional human life vests so your dogs could lay on them in the kayaks. We provide appropriate sized life vests for humans at no charge, but it's our policy that extra vests cost money. I'm sorry, but we can not allow your dogs to lay on our life vests used by guests; especially since you were allowing your dogs to dig up salt marsh on the bayside beach. It would have been appropriate for you to bring your own pillow or towel for your dog to lay on in our kayaks. I agree with you on two points: 1. our employees are great. 2. perhaps another kayak provider would better suit your family's needs in the future.

Ordered kayaks and a Paddleboard online for delivery to our Airbnb. They were very communicative and great to work with. The rental was so easy and we had a great time. Looking forward to next time.

Kayaked in Rehoboth Bay with two teens. We saw herons, osprey and an egret along with numerous gulls. Went back a day later and tried paddle boarding for the first time. Staff was really helpful and nice.
