Lots of beach means it's not too crowded. Huts sell water, snacks, umbrellas and chairs. Walkable to everything in town

We love Dewey beach! We love sitting at the beach all day and finding a great place to eat at night! The adults have a great time exploring the nightlife. The kids love boogie boarding and digging in the sand. Great place for all!

Went to Dewey recently , let me tell ya parking is a pain . You basically have to drive all over looking for a spot "meter" if you don't have a parking permit . So visiting for a day is ridiculous . Don't forget you quarters Bc they have the old fashion meters . 1 quarter is 10 minutes ..... More

We had a great motel 2 blocks from the beach. Great for younger people as there is a lot of sand to get through to the ocean. Nice restaurants but not many shops. Friendly place and not hectic.

Dewey has fabulous bars and restaurants. Live music every weekend plus in the summer. Many houses are group houses for college kids or 35 year olds that are still living a college lifestyle. They bake themselves by day and party by night and often brunch with Bloody Mary's before doing it all over again. Luckily Dewey establishments are all walking... More

We made a quick pit stop at this beach on our way up to New England. It was very clean. A lot of life guards. Many families around.

This is a very family friendlly beach area. My first time in Delaware...not exactly what I would associate with beaches but this place changed my mind. Sand area is clean and the just right height waves make it a great cooling place, even in the 90 degree heat. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent and some drinks and... More

This was our first time in Delaware and to Dewey Beach. The beach was not overcrowded and the sand was easy to walk on, The water as not too cold and the waves were very good. The only drawback was that there were no shells, which is the norm for most Atlantic beaches. Definitely a place to which we may... More

Very Family Focused . The beach offers rental umbrellas and chairs which makes this easy. If you are staying at the Hyatt Place it is an easy walk. Highly recommend !

I have been coming to Delaware beaches for many years. I love the family environment in Dewey and Rehobeth. The water can be cold early in the summer, but that keeps away any jelly fish for most of the summer. There are guarded beaches, nice if you have kids. Storms have created a bit of a slope when beachwalking, and... More
