It was cold and windy but we could not miss seen this beautiful beach. Great views. Would be wonderful in the summer.

Agree that this is the best beach in CT. Agree that the town of Waterford could do just a touch better in keeping the bathroom/changing room slightly higher then 3rd world standards.

Waterford beach really should be part of Rhode Island as this gem more closely resembles the Rhode Island coastline than that in most of Connecticut. Waterford's proximity to the open Atlantic without the cover of Long Island sound makes for a different look and feel...More

I love the clean and quiet beach although the bathroom is not convenient for changing.. it would be nice to have hooks to hang bAgs inside the bathrooms or at least a bench to put your bags and towels as you walk into the bathroom...More

Excellent place for dog walking, picnicking. Beach close by (short walk). Dogs aren't allowed on beach in summer but park is.

This beach is a nicely guarded secret. It is nestled in between Harkness Park and Ocean Beach and is next to the Eugene O'Neil Theater in Waterford. You may not even get to the beach part because the park itself is lovely...huge areas to play,...More

plenty of parking beach is very nice, bathrooms are clean and there is picnic pavilions to rent. Walk from parking lot is long but you can drop off chairs/coolers at entry then park
