I am a Walingford resident, and have been several times to this vineyard. Spectacular views at the top of the hill. You bring your own food and buy your drinks. There is also a small lake surrounded with vines. The wine is good, even thou I'm picky with wine. It's a great place to relax with friends and family. During... More

Great place to relax any time of year and the wine is an added bonus! Bring snacks or a picnic. Enjoy the fireplace when it's cold, beautiful fall colors or the spring/summer breeze while sitting outside. Gouveia is a great place to visit all year long.

Great place to bring a picnic basket or a pizza. Sunset is really nice in the back area. Good sselction of wine grown on site. Highly recommend them for a gathering of friends.

We visited as part of the CT wine trail and it was a nice stop, but not the best we had. Unlike other CA or NY wineries where it is customary to stand at the counter for your tastings, this didn't seem to be typical at Gouveia. The ladies talked among themselves and didn't engage with us at all except... More

A great place to have any party. The view is out of this world. The wine that is made here is very good! One can bring your own food however no liquids of any sort can be brought on the property. Many people come here to have their engagement photos taken in the vineyards.

This is an amazing place to have a picnic and some great wine. They are very friendly and accommodating and there are quite a few table inside. The grounds are beautiful especially in fall and spring. It's a lovely place to visit with friends, family or your love.

This vineyard sits atop a hill so the views are amazing and they really capitalized on this. The tasting room has glass doors and large windows so people can have great views even indoors, they have a huge outdoor space with picnic tables, and they encourage people to bring their own food. I've been here a couple of times for... More

Goueveia Vineyards is one of our favorite vineyards in the state. The views, especially during the fall , are breathtaking. It can get very crowded on the weekends during the summer and fall, so plan on arriving when they open, or head there later in the day. Sunsets are gorgeous! The wines are really good too. We usually get a... More

You don't believe you are in Connecticut anymore. The views are beautiful. We actually were here one night during a thunder & lightning storm and it was so cool to watch. The wine is tasty and the atmosphere is welcoming. Please note, they allow NO outside drinks, even water bottles.

Gouveia Vineyard is a very pleasant place to go and enjoy a glass (or bottle) of wine with friends. The atmosphere is very friendly and warm. You can bring your own food to enjoy while you sample their wines. You really should have a designator driver for your visit since you will be drinking alcohol. You can sit inside or... More
