Magical Time!
Oct 2020
This is my 2nd back here in two weeks and it is just as special as the 1st time. It is truly magical! It's a real pumpkin patch and all pumpkins for 8 dollars wow! I am coming back to the maze this week but at night time with flashlights. The ice cream is so yummy and just being on the land is special. This is my new favorite spot especially for the fall. Visit the little Lavender shop as well. Kristen the owner is the sweetest lady. Enjoy! O no crowds and no lines at this time : )

Inconsistent
Sep 2019
We love this beautiful, eclectic farm. The messy gardens are lovely! Sometimes our farm trip is disappointing as the homemade ice cream has ice crystals in it. Makes us think it's been sitting around too long. When they're on their game and it's fresh it can't be beat - creamy and amazing...

Corn Maze Fun
Sep 2019
I took my staff here for a team building experience. We did the nighttime flashlight maze, which was pretty awesome. We had the place to ourselves and were up to the challenge. SO much fun! We didn't meet the question challenge, but sure enjoyed trying. We made it out in just over an hour. We were treated so kindly and loved chatting with the owner. She was super sweet. I would HIGHLY recommend a visit to Fort Hill Farm. Kids corn maze, full corn maze, ice cream and gorgeous scenery. Will be returning!.

Interesting place to visit

Have been there for ice cream and another day for a work picnic. Fun grounds, the corn maze is a great attraction.

A little piece of Heaven!
Oct 2018 • Friends
What a wonderful place to visit to be one with nature and beauty! It is so peaceful, and I was just awestruck with everything the second I got out of my car. We went at the end of October, but year round this place is a paradise! The corn maze is just incredible, and it's no ordinary maze. There are 2 "bridges" in the middle when you can walk up and take in breath taking views. The maze is so much fun too, you are provided with a booklet where there is Word Game and Picture Find. Your job is to find clues at hidden stations within the maze. Inside the maze is so tranquil. The day we were there it was windy, I had to stop several times just to listen to the sounds of the corn stalks blowing. I wish I could sleep in there!!

After the maze, treat yourself to the most delicious ice cream and lavender galore. The smell alone put me into a heavenly state!

Everyone there is just super friendly and you can tell that they put their heart and soul into everything. I can wait to go back to this little piece of heaven!

Ice Cream Fail
Sep 2018 • Family
We have now tried twice to stop here for ice cream, both times it has been closed even though the sign out front clearly states that it should have been open.
We took our nieces here for ice cream and the corn maze. Ice cream was closed and the corn maze was a hot mess. To be fair, we didn't have the average 2 hours that the full maze apparently takes. So we opted for the Mini Maze at $7 each, including my 3 yo niece, which seemed pricey. The attendant didn't explain what the mini maze was, that the entrance was also the exit, and the whole point was just to find the etching stations within the maze which he also neglected to tell us how many there even were. Overall an expensive and disappointing trip.

A hidden gem!
Aug 2018 • Family
We had no idea that this neat place was so close! I found Fort Hill Farms as I looked for something to do locally. It was the corn maze that brought me here, and that PLUS Kristin, the lavender shop, and the ice cream made us stay! To begin, Kristin was super warm and enthusiastic. She made us feel right at home and explained the maze details very thoroughly. We had an awesome time in the maze— it’s excellent! I think a wide range of ages would enjoy it as there are opportunities to do some crayon rubbings and word puzzles en route. Kristen even pointed out her phone number in case we got stuck. (We didn’t need it!) The ice cream we ate after was very good. I loved the lavender shop—Wow! What a beautiful smell. Overall, we had a great time here!

The Ice Cream Portions Grow Smaller Every Year
Aug 2017
Why is it when you find a gem of a spot with beautiful surroundings and generous portions of top quality food, it doesn't last? Such is the case for Fort Hill Farms. What was a regular family outing has become a "why return". I am an ice cream lover, but cannot justify spending an excessive amount of money on a tiny scoop. Yes, their ice cream is good, but isn't over-the-moon wonderful anymore.

Attractive grounds
Jul 2017 • Couples
I have to be honest and say that we only stopped by for the ice cream but we found there was a bit more to see while on the property. There were a couple of feisty guinea hens as well as a chicken a peacock and the grounds were in bloom and very beautiful. We were also there around sunset and seeing the sunset over the field was very pretty. We didn't stop to visit the calves but we were sure to get our ice cream...all in all, it was good but I've had better. The woman working was a real sweetheart though - very helpful and informative. While the grounds were very attractive, they could use a bit of maintenance but it's certainly understandable as it's a very large property to maintain! I hear there are special events that take place throughout the year and would certainly try to return to attend an event.

Pretty but kind of lame
Jul 2017
My brother and I visited Fort Hill Farms while in eastern CT today. The gardens were pretty. It had a cool chess set in one of the gardens. They had some calves that you couldn't get too close to and a peacock in a cage.

The ice cream was good.

All in all it was kind of lame.
