The trail was great With some many trees and amazing scenery. The day when we went we saw maybe three or four people and really enjoyed the long walk just with our own family. We were there for the foliage and we got what we wanted.

Took a leisurely stroll along the connecicut river starting in Suffield. The area is maintained by local volunteers but is owned as a state park. Benches and some picnic tables are available. I hear there is great fishing in the spring and summer..

Nice walk along the river. Suffield to windsor locks. Easy, two miles, canal on one side. Great views. Easy parking. Near the malls in enfield. Near easy off and on from 91..

If you like to walk or run or bike on a paved trail this is a great journey. The canal you are traveling parallel to has a great aqueduct where you get to witness an excited water bridge halfway down the trail. Also be aware and look up as Bald Eagles love to nest along the trail and catch fish
