I have never missed a show here in 22 years!! The local actors work so hard and do AMAZING performances!!! I've had my favorites: Company, Rocky Horror, Big, West Side Story, Steel Magnolias to name a few musicals. The dramas have given me goosebumps at times and the comedies have given me good belly laughs!! I don't know why anyone who loves or even just likes the theater wouldn't come to each performance!! You won't be disappointed! Just wonderful!!!!

My wife and I went to see “Hair.” We left at the break, along with a bunch of theater goers. Poor production at best. Previously, my daughter had gotten tickets for us fora play. We went to the play only to find that a different production was chosen. We sat in the first row and endured two actresses screaming at each other for an hour. Half the audience snuck out at the break. They couldn’t get to their cars fast enough...

We have been to the playhouse on many occasions. Tickets are just $24.00 or on Thursday's before opening night only $12.00. It's open seating but there's no bad seating. They are pew seats and raised. The theater is really small so even if you are the last row you're only 20 feet away from the stage. Always Chefnfly

We've been to the Sherman Playhouse a number of times. The plays were very entertaining, well directed and we enjoyed them all. The venue looks to have been a town hall at one time. Its a small seating area , with no bad views. There is no reservation, its first come first seat. You can purchase tickets on line or at the door. During intermission they serve light beverages and a few selection of treats. The setting is beautiful, you are high in the northwest hills of CT. with Ny border just 5 miles away. Check out their web site , and show your support for local theatre....Enjoy Always Chefnfly

This past weekend was my second trip to the Sherman Playhouse. The converted church (with seating for approximately 100) offers an intimate space to get up close and personal with the cast. All of the bells and whistles of larger venues are in place - lighting, sound, etc. There is even a "green room" for snacks at intermission.
