This is the oldest running ferry in the U.S. It crosses the Connecticut River to Glastonbury. You can take your car over or bicycles. Or you can board the ferry on foot and just ride over and back. Runs seasonally only.

It's always a treat for guests visiting us in Rocky Hill to take a quick ride across the river on the Ferry. Always a friendly staff.

Its a ferry, its short, its old. But if you are into that sort of thing it is awesome. I have gone across by bike and then ridden out to the center of Glastonbury for coffee a few times, or driven across just for fun. Great for people driving through the state, or when family comes to visit.

Whenever I visit Rocky Hill the ferry landing is my first stop and I usually ride it 2 or 3 time in a week.

Love this ferry, We've taken it many times and it's always a pleasure. To bad it isn't longer but still a great ride on a beautiful day.

I've been taking this ferry since I was a kid. I always take advantage of the opportunity to take a ride across the river to get to the farmer's market plus get a nice ride with a cool breeze on the way. The people are always nice and it provides community to both Rocky Hill and Glastonbury. It's something that... More

The Rocky Hill Glastonbury Ferry is the oldest continuous operating ferry in the U.S. The ride across the Connecticut River is brief......just a few minutes but one you will enjoy whether you are taking it with your children and family for fun or to cut out driving time to get to South Glastonbury/Rocky Hill. The ferry holds three or four... More

This is a trip I take at least once a year. I often go 3-4 times a year. I love the trip and only wish it was a longer ride.

The ferry ride was nice however its a very short ride. I did it for the kids and it is something nice and cheap to do. We had a picnic at the picnic tables on the Rocky Hill side before we went across on the ferry.

Saves alot of driving to get to Glastonbury from Rocky Hill. The Captain and Mate are Super nice and Fabulous at their job.It is such a nostalgic thing to do even if you do not need to get to the other side. Great scenery.Quick ride across.
